White screen & won't shut down

Right, so I accidentally downloaded the wrong firmware upgrade. I knew which model my player was but hit the wrong link. Happens. I'm trying to get going with the DFU but my player will not shut down. I can hold down the button for as long as I want, I can try whatever I want, and it will NOT shut down. Any suggestions?

Hi and welcome to the forums! If you are absoloutly sure that you used the wrong firmware, hold down the bottom button on the touchstrip for 1 minute, and your player will reset. However, If you aren't so sure, just leave it somewhere for 1/2 an hour. The white screen is normal in the update process. Also check the link in my signature for further help. Hope this helps!
