    Partitions

    Hello,

I have a 4 GB Meizu. I want to create a new folder under browser on the same level as Music, Text, Pictures, etc. I want this new folder to contain all of my Podcasts. Whenever I create a folder it will let me add music and podcasts, but then the music and podcasts show up under "All Music". I want it so I have to go to browser then 'my folder' to see the files.. similarly to the TEXT folder where the only place you can open the txt files is in TEXT. Is this possible????????

DId you even read what I wrote?? I want the files to not show up under my music and stuff. When you just create a new folder (Main Menu, Browser, 'my folder' ) if you add any mp3 files to that folder they will show up in my music. I Don't want them to.. I just want them to show up when I go to browser > my folder.. like the text files only show up under browser > text..

The text files only show up under browser>text because you copied the files there...

I think he means that he doesn't want the Podcasts to show up in the All Music section of the player. He wants it to only show up in the Browser. I do not think this is possible at the moment, but you can do that with Rockbox. Oh and welcome to the MeizuMe Forums!

It's not possible either way, since Podcasts are also .mp3's.

maybe re-naming the podcast in the properties\summary\artist and tagging them as "podcast" in the artist section will give you easy access.
the library update is the culprit here as it examins the tags and sorts them with the tags such as album, artist etc.

your welcome Bouzy, glad that worked for you.

here's a link to a program that most everyone likes; Mp3tag - Download
and yet another forum; Mp3tag Forums

not related to the topic post but i use this on my collection to keep a universial naming scheme. an example: removing all upper case or all lower case. fixing file names that include (artist.album.song name.track) to simple (track number.name of song). this works great with most mp3 players since the majority have sorting by id3 tags already.
