Hi. I've had this player for a little over a year now and I've tried upgraded to the recent 2004.6 firmware, but I'm having some difficulties. I actually upgraded a while ago from the 2003 firmware with resource errors, but I managed to solve that issue then. Now I'm having some other issues. I tried upgrading but to no avail. The screen states that it's upgrading and then goes completely white for hours. I read in one of the previous upgrading faqs that the player could take a couple minutes on the white screen...but this is ridiculous. Afterwards, I tried turning off my player by holding the enter button and went for the DFU solution. Only to fuck it up more. Of course then, the screen went completely berserk and I had to redo the DFU solution several more times before I had any luck. But now I'm back to the white screen. I'm thinking the firmware file I downloaded is faulty. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Hi and Welcome to the Meizu Me Forums. Try the guide in my signature (Below), and just do step 2, if you can connect your player to your computer normally (Without DFU Mode). If you cannot, try Step 3. Hope this helps.
If you are having trouble with your player, please visit this thread first and try the steps before you panic. Most likely you will be able to fix your player easily using the steps listed.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsHey do you know where I can find the newest firmware? Meizu's website seems to be...in chinese. and they don't seem to have any firmwares that I can use.
edit: Everything seems fine now. I did a low reformat, and it seemed to clear the white screen up. Weird right? It just went to a green screen in the end and I was able to update the firmware like normal.Last edited by jay3429; 11-26-2008 at 10:49 PM.
