How long does it take? Really? I have Meizu M6 almost 2 years now and I really don't know what is the proper time of charging.
Sometimes when the battery runs out completly charging takes 1-2 hours and shows fully charged. It works for like 2-5 hours and then battery runs out again.
And sometimes it charges for a whole day (!) and still shows battery icon on 'charging'. It just stays on 'charging'. I does it right now actually.
I seriously never saw my player running the 20 hours mentioned in the official specs.
So is my Meizu dying? I have reformatted it yesterday with the latast firmware. Just to make it 'clean'.
As for my dying M button on the pad (I've mentioned it here that it isn't responding all the time) I've been pusshing it constantly and it somehow fixed itself.aliens ain't farmers!

I'm experiencing the same.
I own m6 for almost 2 years now and i have those problems, the M button and the dying battery. Coincidentally, my M button also works fine after constantly pressing it hard. For the aging battery, i just charge it often and carry a battery portable charger.
For how long it takes to charge fully, i seriously didn't take note.

Thanked 19 Times in 19 PostsThe official charging for an SP is 2.5 hours according to the manual (page 19)
(Unfortunately 3 hours on page 18
)
I did note the first charging times of my SP and they were exactly those 2.5 hours from full discharge.
About my 1½ year experience now I haven’t notice any changes at all, and my recently new SL seems just to need about same to show the fully charged screen but I haven’t note yet.
Just I don’t experience those 20 hours playing time either. Only 6-7 hours. SL too.
My SP is currently on service due to especially dying M bottom.
The hard pressing did stop working and everything just got too annoying.

I am curious to know what source you do use to charge your M6.
USB Power supply, PC, laptop, other?
I use a standard 500 mAh power supply.
2-5 hours sounds like a battery with decreased or half charged capacity to me, but maybe it helps by using another source to charge your M6.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsI've tried different computers as well with the same results.
I guess it was like that from the beginning, and I had two SP players. Both of them didn't work those 20 hours, the same with charging.
By the way:
The player is showing "Fully Charged" after 5-6 hours. I'm impressed, I rarely see that text haha.aliens ain't farmers!

Are you taking good care of your lithium battery? Lithium batteries lose about 5% of their capacity if drained all the way to dead, it is best to charge a lithium battery at around 40%.
If you are having trouble with your player, please visit this thread first and try the steps before you panic. Most likely you will be able to fix your player easily using the steps listed.
Players: Meizu M6 SP 4GB, iPod Touch 4G
Headphones: SoundMAGIC PL-50s, Auvio In-Ear Armatures, Bose QC-15s.
Current Audio Congifuration: X-Fi Elite Pro w/LM4562 Mod -> Mission MS-50 + Boston Acoustics Subwoofer

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsYes I know that, my player is connected very often. It only runs out of power when I have it with me and suddenly the player is auto-turning off (like after watching a movie or a whole day long music playing).
I have also noticed after those 2 years that when you're out in the cold (well not exactly below zero celsius but for example 10 or 5 degrees) the power drops SUDDENLY from lets say half to ZERO when you activate the screen (lets say change a song) and then when you block the player and turn off the screen it goes back to half-charged.
I really don't know what to think of Meizu, it's good and bad at once. I'm just saying I don't know if I want M8 or not.
M6 is an OK player, but after almost 2 years it feels like it has few major flaws.aliens ain't farmers!
