usual time needed for a full charge?

hey guys, i was wondering how long it takes you guys to do a full charge. it takes my new m6 sl 4 hours for a full charge (from a full discharge), which leads me to conclude that something might be wrong with the battery.

also, i would like to know how long your player can last playing videos. Mine can play video straight for 4 hours before running out of battery. I would like to see the actual result of your meizu player instead of what is stated in the specification in the website.

a third thing is...other than the battery problem, my mp3 won't allow me to turn it on when charging. Can i send the player back to meizu for a fix or exchange because of that 2 problems?

    Thanks everyone

The 4 hour charge time is normal, although you should be able to use it while charging. If you are using your computer to charge, you cannot use it. Oh, and NEVER fully discharge a lithium battery, it kills it VERY fast. Think of 40% as the lowest you can go, because if you get below 30%, it starts to kill the battery.
If you are having trouble with your player, please visit this thread first and try the steps before you panic. Most likely you will be able to fix your player easily using the steps listed.

Hmm, I can't use my miniPlayer when it charging, even in the car's USB adapter.

I doubt it though, I'm using Stock Meizu Firmware, not Dane-Elec's.

Oh well, I don't mind the glitch/limitation too much, since the miniPlayer's battery has not run out on me yet.

Actually it's impossible to fully discharge a LiIon. The internal monitor will stop you when it reaches a minimum threshold because as you said fully discharging one will destroy it.

The only problem is if you fully discharge it until the circuit cuts it off, then leave it for a while and it bleeds the rest of the power out.

So, you can use it until the Meizu stops working, but be sure to immediately recharge it.

That threshold is the bare minimum though...It is best to charge it at 30%, otherwise it starts to kill, doesn't completely kill the battery.
