i'm still holding power now and m buttons and it keeps saying "enumerating..." is it done?? answer is needed asap, thanks

edit: ok, enumerating means it's done, and yes it's done :D

it didn't work on vista ultimate x64, but i tried over my laptop which is windows xp pro 32 bit. it couldn't identify the driver neither, but manual showing the way did the trick (driver installation was not done completely like stuck at 100%, i unplugged the device and voila)

then i pressed and held power and M buttons until the downloading process done and said "enumerating"
when i opened it, it firstly said formatting on a green screen, then a blank white box and whole blnk pahge appeared, i made it wait then it's closed, then it's white box again and meizu logo appeared

    thanks, much appreciated

Every time I plug my M6SP onto my computer, i have to format my drive. Currently my screen is blank and white and sometimes the player turns on after a while of pressing the on button, but sometimes the player then wont respond when on, I have to then turn it off by pressing the enter button for about 15 seconds. What do i do???

Try doing Step 2 of the guide and your player should be set, most likely this was because of a firmware update that went wrong. Also, Welcome to Meizu Me!

When I try to download firmware at :MEIZU MP3 PLAYER the window and links are in Chinese. I clicked links and they didn't take me anywhere. I need firmware version 1.009 according to "Recovering a Dead Player Using DFU Tools" at meizume

My Miniplayer M6SP doesn't turn on, only says charging when connected to USB.

You just have to unplug it from the USB cable, and then turn it on. It should update the library. This is normal.

Sorry, I will update the links as soon as Meizu gets their english page up. In the mean time, search for the firmware on the forums, as members have uploaded them. Hope you are able to fix your player. Best of luck.

Are you following all of the steps mentioned? Read them carefully and thoroughly this time, reading every word as slow as possible, and following them. Make sure you are reading instructions for the SP version.

    bricked player help

I was very content with my M6 miniplayer until I decided to update my firmware. Somehow I did something wrong and I deleted all my files. I tried again and got a green screen. Not sure what that was, but shortly after I could not use my Meizu M6 anymore. The screen went blank and upon charging a white screen flashes real quick and go backs to the black screen. I've looked for a solution for months there is absolutely no technical support available. The only help is on these forums. I read your post regarding the DFU tool but I did everything step by step and I am not as lucky as some of these other posters. I sometimes think I'm doing something wrong but the steps are being followed. I really don't know what else to do. Is there someone I can call to walk me through this? I really do not want to trash the Meizu if it's still capable of fuctionality. Can anyone help? I have posted several times and I've never gotten a response.

If you've done everything correctly, and the player still doesn't work, it's probably fubar.

I downladed the DFU tool same one m barry posted which is dummy proof because it is already set up. I held the on off button and m at the same time and conected to the usb. Th DFU tool does not recognize my meizu. What i did notice was that while I hole the 2 buttons simulateously My pc makes the noise as if something is connected, Then when i unplug it from the usb it makes the sames noise letting me know the device is unplugged.

What OS are you using? And when you hold down the power button to turn on the player, is all you get a white flicker? If you get the green screen, then it is a really easy problem to fix, but if a flash is all you see, you might have a bigger problem. Also, make sure you are holding down the power button for 5 seconds, not just a quick push, because the player needs about 3 seconds to recognize that the power button has been pushed and then turn on. And when you plug your player in, is there a popup saying something like "DFU Server Connected, do you want Windows to find drivers"? If not, try holding the M and Power buttons down simultaneously very firmly, and plug it in. Make sure your fingers do not slack and let either the M of Power button go while you are plugging it in. Other than that, I do not know what is wrong, as the computer is making the sound that shows something is plugged in. Maybe we can solve this over the Meizu Chat function on the homepage. I should be free sometime around 11:00 AM Eastern Time tomorrow (12/31/08), or if you do not see this message in time, give me a PM. I hope we can resolve this issue, and that you will once again enjoy your player.
