    No green screen

    Hi,

I've been scratch my head over this for the longest time now.

Anyway I finally got the DFU tool to work for me and when I used the newest 2.004.6 (or something like that) firmware, it'd get stuck on the Enumerating... part.

So I decided to try the oldest firmware 1.009 for the player and DFU works great ... runs through without getting stuck on Enumerating...

But the problem is still the same. I don't get to the green screen. When I push the power/play key, the screen flashes quickly once (as if it's trying to initialize) and then ... nothing.

Any ideas? I've run the DFU tool multiple times with the newer firmware and I think I'll try a few times with the older one.

P.S If you happened to brick your M6SP, pop off the back casing, undo the 2 screws, lift up the main board slightly exposing the ribbon cables, undo the tiny latches securing ribbon cables to the mainboard and remove the cables and just let it sit for 5 minutes.

Then put it all back together and try the instructions on the FAQ sheet again.

I bricked my M6SP when I accidentally lost grip on the player and let go of the button while DFUing. but it works now so I thought I'd pass that tip on

Why on earth did you use DFU-tool before it was bricked????

Are you using DFU for normal fw-updates or am I missing something here??

I had this on and off white screen and it wouldn't connect to the PC except using the DFU tool.

Not exactly pointless...Oh and you are not supposed to get a green screen. It is supposed to boot right up normally after DFU.

Hi, Welcome to the forums. Try plugging it into your Computer. If it gets recognized, go yo en.meizu.com. Go to Downloads, and download firmware for your player (You have to look at your player version on the back of your player). And put the two files into your players drive in My Computer. Restart your player. Most likely though, yo have to use DFU Tools. There is a whole thread about it, you can search for it in the forums. Try holding down M and the Power buttons at the same time. Keep them held down, and plug your player into your computer. Do not let go of the two buttons during this process. Does it get recognized as a DFU Device? If so, read the DFU Tools Thread very carefully, and follow the directions one step at a time. Your player should be as good as new. Hope this helps.

    Loss of Main Menu

Can anybody tell me how to solve the following problem:

The main menu does not show on the screen when tapped but remains at the music page.

    Thanks for your help.
