    Newbie Q: Video software

    Hi All
Just purchased an SL last weekend at Haidian in Beijing. First impressions are very good. Sounds great and has a good feel to the unit overall. Only problem is that the disk I received in the package is Chinese. I have DL'ed an English manual and sent an email to meizi asking for an English copy of the video compression/conversion software; no response as yet :-(
Is here any English versions of the video software available and if so how do I acquire it.
    Cheers
    Ian

Batman's video is much better than the supplied. BobbyQ is a member here. it's not the easiest install and lacks a graphic user interface. once you learn it (actually pretty easy) you won't need/want to try anything else.

btw welcome to the boards, don't be too alarmed by the "i bricked my player" mine has been trouble free.... a joy to use

    Hi RT
Thanks mate. I will do a search for the Batman application and give it a go. Not too alarmed by all the neg posts as you find this in pretty much any device. As I said, my first impressions are very positive.
    Cheers Ian

Batman also encodes better than the one supplied by Meizu, theirs is basically a customized version of VirtualDub and video playback is a bit choppy, but BatMan encodes faster and smoother.
