I Tried different USB port on my pc's.
I tried 2 pc's with XP, and 1 PC with Vista...

But Windows still doens't recognize the mp3-player as USB Defice.

You have to hold menu and play at the same time for the entire recovery.

Oh and don't forget, you have to hold M and Play/Power for the Whole time, not just the beginning. There is a link to a guide in my signature with more details on how to use DFU Tools with your player, if you are unfamiliar with DFU. Hope this helps!

i downloaded a dfu tool but i didn't see a setup.exe, do i really have to install it?
