Problem with MiniPlayer M6: Red Screen

    Hi,
I've had my MiniPLayer for quite a while now, roughly a year or so, and it's taken a few knocks, drops and stuff, and unfortunately it's developed a red tint on some of the colours on the screen, mostly the dark colours especially brown. It happened before, but it was simply a case of opening the case up and bending the metal back cover so it wouldn't press onto the screen (which seemed to be the case) but now even with the case off the screen is still red! Has anyone else had this problem? Any ideas how to fix this would be greatly apprecieated. The Miniplayer works fine, just viewing videos and pictures is a little annoying. I have enclosed photos.

    Thanks.

    Well that's the cause.

I suggest you go to eBay and buy an M6 SP/TP/SL (whatever your model is) screen.

You probably can't find a M6 screen as easily as an iPod screen, even on eBay. What I suggest you do is to wrap the player in some cloth and banging it on a hard surface. This won't kill the player, as it uses flash, not a HDD. Make sure to bang it on the side where there are no ports (Left side if you are holding it with the screen facing up.). If this doesn't work try to use it just as a music player, that's what I do, because video playback is a bit laggy, and scanning through photos on your player can take days. Hope this helps.
If you are having trouble with your player, please visit this thread first and try the steps before you panic. Most likely you will be able to fix your player easily using the steps listed.

Players: Meizu M6 SP 4GB, iPod Touch 4G
Headphones: SoundMAGIC PL-50s, Auvio In-Ear Armatures, Bose QC-15s.
Current Audio Congifuration: X-Fi Elite Pro w/LM4562 Mod -> Mission MS-50 + Boston Acoustics Subwoofer

Meizu M6 is pretty cheap nowadays. If you really need to watch videos, the best bet is probably to buy a new one...
Can't wait to play with the Meizu MX!

Thanks for the replies. I remember before when it first started to happen a little knock around would cure the red screen. Doesn't work anymore though...
