    Pealed and without the copper layer!

    I have posted here a thread talking about the consequence of using the M6 without a skin protector, but now it's time to show the yield of my decision I took about: what I decided was to take off the copper layer that covered the back part of my M6.

    After approx. 6 hours of work, this is what I got:

    Um, don't remove the protectors? But I took mine off and it's still fine... Then again he probably sanded the thing until it was senseless...

    Yeah, the plastic film is meant to me kept on the player to protect it. This reminds me of the Brushed iPod...

    But I really don't think that should happen to the back. Did the player come in contact with some chemical at all?

    The sweat is one of the most natural corrosive substances and even more in tropical countries in which I live(Dominican Republic). If the materials used to build such devices is not adequate(Sweat Resistant like Ipod Nano and others), it is easy the corrosion show its face early. I have an Ipod Nano and I have always used it in my hands without skins and never had that trouble.

    Now I feel better knowing my M6 won't continue Rotting or Shelling and won't have anymore the natural bad smell that spread the copper when joint with the sweat.

    Oh, I understand now! Sorry, I didn't read your other thread before reading this one and I was wondering ... "Um...whied this guy sand his mp3 player?"
    Heh, sorry about that ^^;;

    Here, take a look at this:

    A metal case, crystal case, or even silicone case might help you. But I recommend a clear crystal case for your situation. You mentioned earlier that you don't want to hide your m6's aesthetic beauty. A clear crystal case will protect the back of your device from sweaty fingertips without compromising too much of its beauty. There are many different kinds of crystal cases, but here is a picture to show you what one looks like:

    It will help protect the surface from scratches and fingerprints as well!
    Hope that helps~
