basically heres my problem. normally i use my m6 on a desktop but now i m in college so i bring around a macbook.
when i put songs in and then eject on my macbook, my m6 hangs on the "usb" screen. then i gotta hard restart it time and time again.
and it hella slows down my m6 as well.......

is there a program or some drivers or smth i can do at all? kinda starting to piss me off

    Hello,
I didn't want to create a new thread so I'll post in this one cause the topic seems right to me. I saw people searching for video conversion tools etc., for mac so as far as i can understand everything else is fine. as for me, i cannot connect player to macbook pro at all. all i get is two blue arrows spinning and spinning around and around and the writing on top "connected to USB". When in this condition i cannot turn it off or on or something else, but maybe it's normal. It's strange that it doesn't show up as any device so i cannot copy mp3 or smth to player at all. when i connected it to PC it found the player in a second and everything worked fine. after restart through dmesg i've got this kind of message:

USBF: 11.762 AppleUSBHubPort: Port 1 of Hub at 0x1a000000 about to terminate a busy device (IOUSBCompositeDevice) after waiting 10 seconds

I also reformatted the player, thought that maybe it's because of the asian and some other symbols, but no.
by the way, does it have to recheck music library everytime it starts up? cause it takes really long when with many files. thanks for your answers.

Hello and welcome to Meizu Me. The "Connected To USB" message is fine. You should not be able to do anything while it is displaying that message, similar to an iPod's "Do Not Disconnect". About your Mac, try one of the programs up on top and you should be set, or just use a PC if you have one. It does have to check for new entries in the library everytime, which is a hassle. But I heard that holding down the return button when you disconnect your player fixes this, but I'm not entirely sure.
If you are having trouble with your player, please visit this thread first and try the steps before you panic. Most likely you will be able to fix your player easily using the steps listed.

Players: Meizu M6 SP 4GB, iPod Touch 4G
Headphones: SoundMAGIC PL-50s, Auvio In-Ear Armatures, Bose QC-15s.
Current Audio Congifuration: X-Fi Elite Pro w/LM4562 Mod -> Mission MS-50 + Boston Acoustics Subwoofer

Thank you for answer. I guess I have to stay with PC cause the software above will not correct my issue. but anyways, meizu is very nice if i'll think of something - i'll post here - maybe it'd be useful for someone else.

At least with Tiger everything was fine for me, just make sure to ALWAYS eject the player before unplugging, but otherwise you should be fine. Weird that it doesn't work for you... have you tried the other USB ports etc.? Updated the system?
