Why do companies say Meizu is a Ipod Nano Clone?

the Meizu looks nothing like the Nano so why call it a Nano Clone?

On most of the reviews on the M6 people say that the M6 is an Ipod Nana clone

I would says the M6 is a clone of the Creative Zen. I got one and I love it!

Good theory, except that the ZEN came out after the M6. People say many things, some even called the Creative ZEN heavily inspired by the M6, and I can't blame them.

Its because the Meizu M6 looked like the first generation Nano. Well actually there not that similar if you look at the button layout or screensize. But the semi-transparent black front with a shiny metal back was. But now of course the Nano looks completely different.

I didn't know that. The main reason why I bought the sen is because it was at Fry (electronic store) vs. the M6 I would have to buy on the internet. I don't have a problem with that anymore but if something goes wrong, I can return or exchange the Zen, but the M6 would be some trouble. If the M6 is just a good as the Zen, then when the M8 comes out, I will have a new favorite company.

Another thing is i didnt know that Zen was after M6

But now something i just found out about is that M6 made it to the bigs because if someone copies you to almost every detial of your player than that most mean that you are doing something right

MEIZU no one can ever try to copy

Yes, the M6's color scheme and casing materials are the same as in the 1st gen nano. But like Willy said, that's as far as it goes: the button/screen layout is completely different, and all in all the end product looks quite different. And hey, what's wrong in using the same kind of casing if it's in fact a very good one? Did Apple lock it forever, when they used it in the fist nano? (That would be ridiculous.)

Now the M3 is a different thing. That one really looks too much like the 1st gen Nano. Even if it was designed by fans, I still don't feel comfortable about it when I tell my friends about Meizu. Luckily, they don't know about the M3 and I just pretend it doesn't exist.
