I bought the M6SL because I didn't want an ipod, I thought this would be a good alternative. Since I've had it for about 6 months, I've put up with alot of little things and big things. At first I thought oh its just a little trouble, I'll just reset it and it works. No big deal right? Well, it all adds up and with each firmware update, it seems to be getting worse and I'm quite fed up. I've tried everything from simply resetting to formatting even updating to newest firmware thinking it will probably take care of some old problems only to find even more problems. I've tried looking up every solution I can on this forum and on meizu's official forums.
-Freezing issues from "update music library" to "connected to usb".
-White screen that flashes constantly to complete white screen then freeze. -Music stuttering and freezing player again
-Freezing while charging.
-Changed my music collection's id tags, removed album art.
-Can't make playlists without going through each song. Don't even get me started on trying to make a playlist through other means. Too annoying and time waster.
-New Firmware has even more issues.
-After resetting, player doesn't boot or if it does, it freezes.
-After even more resetting and hard resets, it might work if it doesn't stutter again.
I should't have to go through all this trouble just to listen to some music. I've officially given up on this and will be buying something a lot less fustrating without freezing constantly and taking ten bootups to get going again. I'm sure there are some who feels the same way.

Get your player changed. This definitely isn't normal behavior.
Can't wait to play with the Meizu MX!

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsI dont understand why people update the firmware I'm running the original and hadn't had one single problem EVER. Maybe thats just my luck.
Might be more than firmware you abuse or drop it?
If it ain't broke don't fix it.

Maybe format it.
There could be a problem with some files you put on the player.
I dunno this hasn't happened to me.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsFreezing was always an issue since I've had it. Which is why I upgraded the firmware. It just got worse from there. I've never dropped it. There's not even a scratch on the player other than the screen protector.
I've tried formatting several times and it froze/ran out of juice one time. I had to use the dfu tools after recharging it a bit to recover and reinstall the firmware. I'm more than technically savvy enough to do these types of things and not complain but its really past that.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsThat one does sound like it's had issues, but frankly, the SL is crap. The firmware is a joke and Meizu are pretty much on my SUCK list for not giving a s**t about maintaining ingerety in the product.
I have a T1 from two years ago that works much better but is only 4GB. I only bought the SL for the 8GB (and having it in black) and it plays music just fine, but I can't scan/ff/frw, the IDIOTIC way you have to leave it on to recharge it so it doesn't rescan the library after a recharge, the lack of sort by genre, the stuttering (I RARELY have this issue), the non-existence of creating playlists ON the device in real time (even when following their directions)... I could go on. It looks NICE and sounds great, but the software really makes it a turd, and makes me reluctantly very angry.
I'd upgrade the firmware (I have the OEM FW on it) but I'm afraid of bricking it or hosing it as I 've seen other complain about.
I bought into Meizu because I DO NOT WANT iCrap... and I'm not second guessing that, but this company sucks.
(man, I've been wanting to vent like that for a while)
