    M6SL- 4G - after "no resource" problem

Hi, everybody! I have a trouble with my Meizu and please somebody help me to resolve it!

Yesterday, when I turn on my Meizu, there's a green screen " No resource! Please upgrade resource again!" I search and follow the instruction of some old post . Because it couldn't be normal as before so I must redo over 20 times all steps below after low - level and hard reset :
    1. Download M6_SL2.004.4 _english.rar in MEIZU MP3 PLAYER
    2. Extract it to root folder: both M6.EBN & resource.bin
    3. Turn off and unplug USB cab
    4. Turn on and plug USB cab again and copy only resource.bin
    5. Tunr off again and unplug USB cab.
    6. Turn on and NOW: TROUBLE

    TROUBLE IS:
    - When I turn on: it takes very very long time, may be nearly a minute to turn on.
    - Blue normal screen "Please select music for playing" and when I choose song to play, none can play, and it shows only the name of the first song that i chose, although i choose another one, none can show.
    - when I turn it off, it shows: "Auto shutting down"with a bar and never shut down unless I wait for the battery running out or press & hold "play/pause" button .

Somebody pls help me. This Meizu is a gift from my brother, and I have no easy way to send it back to the shop for the warantee because he bought it in China, so I must repair it myself.

Thank you so much for your help!!!

Try updating the firmware again, and follow the steps from FAQ like this:
    1. Unzip firmware files (M6.EBN and resource.bin) to anywhere on your computer.
    2. Turn the miniPlayer on and connect it to computer through USB.
    3. Copy M6.EBN file in miniPlayer's root directory (The directory containing the folders MUSIC and PICTURE).
    4. Disconnect miniPlayer from computer and turn it off.
    5. Wait for a few seconds and turn it ON, you will see the screen displaying “Upgrading Software Please wait...”
    6. Let it work and wait for player to turn itself OFF. (mine does not turn off by itself, so just wait like 2 minutes and turn it off manually)
    7. Turn it on again, you will see the screen displaying "No Resource".
    8. Copy the resource.bin file in the player's root directory and restart it.
    That should do it.

    Hi Nice2know_u!

I try exactly what you advise and follow steps from FAQ. The result is still the same. It stop at Update music Library with a hanging empty bar. I'm afraidmy firmware has trouble, but I download it from: MEIZU MP3 PLAYER named: M6SL_2.004.4_english.rar.
    What should i do now?.

Try the latest firmware. You can get it from here: http://meizu.com/MeizuMp3LiveUpdate/..._SL2.004.6.rar

Maybe you should format your player first to ensure it doesn't have any corrupt files or anything like that on it.

    Hi!
At last, My Meizu is playing again. Firstly, I want to thank to Nice2know_U, he/she helped me to resolve this problem.
And now is some of my experience after all troubles, hope it will help new user resolving their problems:
    1. If it have "no resource..." matter, try to:
    - low - level format ( Press Play/Pause button withh |<< until it has purples screen with:" Low-level Formatting. Please wait..."
    - OR Hard reset If Low - level format can't help. (Press Play/Pause button withh >>| until it has yeallow screen with:" Formatting. Please wait..."
    2. Follow all steps that Nice2know_U wrote above or follow FAQ
    3. Try many times as you can, again and again
    4. You should use DFUtool as the last cure for your player.
    Thanks. Nice time to you!

No, best thing is to do the most logical, simply give the player a resource file (resource.bin).
Can't wait to play with the Meizu MX!

    Hi Err0r!

It means that we no need to give it the M6EBN and tunr off/turn on, only give it the resource.bin? I read in some post that should only give it that file, I will try another time. Tks!

Yeah, normally when it says "No Resource" you only need to copy the resource.bin file.

    Hi Everybody,

    Meizu M6 SL. HELP!!!

Green screen appeared. Downloaded firmware form one of the forums - the "official" site said that there was a problem?????????????????????????? Then found out that the version in the forum was older. Now I have manage to d/l the dfu files and when connected to the pc it said device found and i directed it to the new folder where i had saved the newly downloaded files were.
After that it said it device was working well. And that was the last I have heard of the Meizu!!!! It is completely DEAD! The PC doesnt see it, and it does not switch on. What can I do to set it right. Please help. Presently in IRAN and I am not an IRANIAN!

Thank you in advance for the help.
