Hello,
My husband owns a M6 SP - I went out and bought a M6 SL
He powers his on by the button on the top of the player, but mine powers on by the bottom (fast forward?) button on the pad. I bought the unit in China, and have chinese instructions that I can't read. I've been looking for an english version of the manual, but can't find one, only the sp is online in english.
My problem is:
My husband makes selections in the menu by pressing the bottom part of the keypad (arrow pointing left). I haven't been able to figure out which button to use on the sl to select menu options. I can't even change the display to english (I know which menus to go to, but don't know how to select them).
Can anyone tell me which button selects the menu items and if there is an english version of the sl manual available online?
thanks

Thanks for the help. The manual is good, but I still can't change the language. I can scroll down to the 10th spot, but I can't enter to the next menu. No matter what part of the pad I hit (including the part marked in the instruction manual), I just stay in that portion of the menu. I don't know if the enter key is messed up or what.
Then I downloaded the file update, but instead of getting a zip file, I got an .rar folder that I can't extract the files out of. Previous firmware upgrades came in zip folders which zipped out the bin file and the other one I needed to update the firmware and it went fine, but I can't even open this file.
Think I may have to just take this thing back.
Thanks Again for your help

11th down(enter in the menu just touching the middle of the pad) and then 7 down(enter in the menu just touching the middle of the pad) and you will be able to choose english language just touching the midlle of the pad.sorry for my bad english.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsTo confirm a selection in the menu at the SL you don't have to click a button, just slide with your finger from the back arrows over the touch pad to the forward arrows. At my SL it is sometimes a little bit tricky to get the right direction and not to get scrolling down. (I hope you understand, what I mean, I am German)

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsBut to get a level back in the menu structure then you have to click the top button of the touchpad (the big M). If this handling is logical is not quite clear to me. But if I have to do so, what else shall I do :D

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsHello,
There is no button to select a menu option, you have to tap on the center of the touchpad.
There's an FAQ-article in this Forum which explains how to change the language, even if you can't read chinese.

Yes, all you have to do is tap the middle of the touchstrip. Or you can put your finger at the << button and slide your finger to the >> button. Hope this helps
