m6 / SL USB windows xp problem..

This is a discussion on m6 / SL USB windows xp problem.. within the General Meizu M6 forums, part of the miniPlayer M6 / SL category; Hi .. all... i couldn't connect my new m6 to my home's pc ... but i did not have any ...

    m6 / SL USB windows xp problem..

    Hi .. all...

    i couldn't connect my new m6 to my home's pc ... but i did not

    have any problem ... with my office computer .... :-S

    both running windows xp .. sp2 .....

    it says "unknow device" .. or something like that....


    any ideas???

    Reinstalling firmware I'd guess...

    Na, connect it to a buildt-in USB port, don't connect it to a USB hub.

    i'm using an USB extension .... could be???

    uh, and try another USB cable ... that helped at least two users in this forum with the same problem

    Hi .. me again ...

    i couldn't connect my meizu ... i have tried in every single usb port ...

    and nothing ....

    what should i do next??

    Try plugging the M6 into the PC while holding the DFU Tools buttons (those ones that should let you connect it even with a broken down firmware). Say what happens.

    thanx ... for the idea .. but .. on mi office pc ... i have no problem ....

    it's on my home and laptop where i couldn't connect my meizu ...

    i am confused.... do i have to re-install window xp??

    No.
    But you could try to reinstall your USB drivers. Open the device manager and remove every USB ROOT (Hub) entry. After a restart Windows will search (and find) and install the necessary drivers by itself.

    mmmm... ok .. i only un-installed the "unknow device" ... not all ...

    update your drivers.... if you can, while connected to the internet...

    There are plenty usb drivers already on your PC (but not yet installed), you don't have to be connected to the internet for that simple task.
    It could be that a program or a device corrupted the USB driver somehow ... the way I described is a very simple and safe way to reinstall the USB drivers.

    well, the last resource did work ..!!!

    i was the usb cable which cames with the meizu ... i tried with another one and it works ...

    thanx all ....
