Updating filelist every time I turn it on

    Hello people.

My problem here is that almost every time, when the player have been off for ~8 hours or more, my player keeps refreshing the filelist. Also if I accidentally turn the player on with hold button on, it refreshes.

Also, the refreshing time have increased enormously since the last firmware updates. In the all firmwares below 2.003 (or 4, don't remember) the refreshing time were maximum 1 minute. Now days it's far over 3 minutes. I'm starting to wonder if the new firmwares are the ones behind all this.

Does anyone have an old firmware update on their computer? And is it possible to downgrade? Or can I fix this problem in any other way? I'm getting pretty fed up waiting 3 minutes each day while going to school.

    - can you tell me how many files you have on your player?
    - downgrading is possible, older firmware versions can be found on this forum.
    - i use 2004.6 and also have about 1.5-2 minutes of wait

In future use the search function if you can, you'll save a lot of time.

There's already a thread on this (above) which should answer your questions.

-Between 300 and 400 song are what I usually can squeeze in to my 4GB meizu.
    - Okay, will try this then. I remember my M6 being much more stable earlier.
    - Humm, yupp. I remember in the old days when 400 songs could been hashed on 20 seconds.

I already tried that. Didn't work.
That link doesn't answer why my M6 keeps updating even though I haven't connected an USB-cable.

I just installed 2.002.3 and clocked the hash timer on 15 seconds with 585 mp3s! WIEEEE Now I can start using my player again!

Still it has to reload the filelist if I turn it on with hold on. I will come back and tell you if it has stopped reloading the filelist when it has been off for more than 8 hours.

BTW, roelandb. Try installing 2.003.2 and see if it is as fast as 2.002.3. I still want to use the newest firmware.
