Can anyone give me any info and answer my questions about this mp3 player? Amazon.com: Meizu 2 GB MP4 Player (Black): Electronics
Does it come with a power supply jack for recharging? Also, is the battery life really up to 36 hours for audio?
Are there any pros and cons i should know about before buying this?
Thanks!

Hello and Welcome to Meizu Me. In my opinion, the only drawback to the Meizu M6 is the updationg process. It is very subjective, and could possibly kill your player. But Meizu came up with DFU Tools to fix a bricked Meizu, and it does work, but requires a lot of patience. Basically, just don't upgrade the player unless it is necesary. The normal player does not come with a power supply, you have to buy one seperatly, but if you have a power supply at home rated at 5 V and >400Mah, you're set. The battery life is in fact up to 36 hours, but then again you have to leave the screen in off mode (Refer to my thread Special Button Functions) and have a flat EQ, and volume at about 10 (Enough to blow your ears off). Hope this helps.
One more thing, don't use the supplied video converter, use BatMan (Search for it).If you are having trouble with your player, please visit this thread first and try the steps before you panic. Most likely you will be able to fix your player easily using the steps listed.
Players: Meizu M6 SP 4GB, iPod Touch 4G
Headphones: SoundMAGIC PL-50s, Auvio In-Ear Armatures, Bose QC-15s.
Current Audio Congifuration: X-Fi Elite Pro w/LM4562 Mod -> Mission MS-50 + Boston Acoustics Subwoofer

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsWhat would updating process for the meizu do/improve to it?
And is it possible to recharge the player without a power supply, or could i use my "xbox 360" power supply thing to charge, or would it damage it? Also, hows the frames per second for video on it, is it really just 18 fps?
Thanks for the reply

Thanked 0 Times in 0 Postsupdating is done to fix bugs or to add extra features, for example the latest firmware 2004.6 fixes issues with the battery charging for some people.
any usb port that gives power should be fine to charge your meizu, so even xbox/xbox360 or playstation2/3 consoles.
the frames supported was improved since a long time, i think since firmware 2003.2 or so, to convert videos i would advice "Batman", its easy to use and has preset profiles for video conversion
hope this helps...

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsDont buy it, youll be very sorry, not maybe the first days or monthes, but youll be in some point, youll be tired of the same problems again and again and again, i think its not expensive, but you will regret not paying a little bit more for a better player

ganzonet would you care to elaborate on why you think it is such a bad idea to buy the m6....you just make it sound like it is one of the worst mp3 players out there without giving any solid reason as to why you think that is....anyways I think you should buy it '7eight9' becuz the sound quality you'll get is one the best in the business with many options to fine tune the sound to your liking....if you follow instruction properly you shouldn't have too much trouble with the m6....i say go for it!

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsYeah, I'm pretty intent on buying this player after some reading/browsing over the forums, most of the problems seem to be a few small glitches.. plus, I can get it cheap off an online store for just a little over $50.
