    Text-files with vietnamese characters? (unicode/UTF-8/UTF-16)

    Hello,

I have a Meizu M6 SL, Firmware 2.004.4, but with modifications made by "MaryCom" (Germany company)
I copied some text from a website (using Firefox) and pasted it into the UniPad-editor (www.unipad.org). Then I saved it as UTF-8, UTF-16 little endian and UTF-16 big endian. None of these files display correctly on my M6 SL. I can see most characters, but some are omitted. Is there a way to display the files correctly? Here's some of the text: (I've marked the characters red which disappear)

Sài Gòn - M Tho - Bến Tre
Home stay at Loc Lan Haus in Phu Tuc (im Kreis Chau Thanh, Provinze B
    ến Tre)

    Bến Tre - M
Tho - Cai Ly - Cn Thơ
Im Hotel Ninh Kieu-Cần Thơ (or similar)
    Attached Files

There can be many reasons why it happens.
Firstly, I think you should forget UTF-8, I doubt the firmware supports it.
For others, I'm not sure that the M6 has those characters built in into its firmware, so you should do a search here for Asmo's font fixing tool and for either Asmo's font importer or my font importer gui (which also bundles Asmo's great tool). Those should fix it.

Not right, cause UTF-8 is fully supported in text files.

And that's right, there are no such glyphs in the firmware. You should try to import them yourself.
