Questions About Aftermarket Screen Protectors

I hate the crystal case, and it won't be available for my M6 SP for much longer, anyway... I love the silicone, but it offers no screen protection, whatsoever. I have decided to look into the aftermarket screen protectors/films. Has anyone had any experience with these, and any recommendations/warnings about any of them? I am thinking about the DuraSec HighTec screen protector , but would prefer to see if anyone else has experience with these, or any recommendations for others that have been worked out for them. Another option I have considered is invisibleSHIELD™ . Although this is designed for the iPod classic, it is slightly bigger than the the M6's screen, and would work well, when using a silicone case. They also have a lifetime warranty, if the film ever gets a scratch. If anyone has tried either of these, or knows of another source that has worked out for them, any help would be appreciated.

I'd be interested to hear how the protector fits the M6 screen as I'm considering getting one of these too.

I notice they do custom orders - perhaps if there's enough interest from users here, we could get them to organise some batch production... I'd do a custom order myself, but there's no way of knowing how much the finished product will cost..!

I thought about doing the custom order... It costs $5 to get them to make the template, with precise measurements. Then you figure in what they are charging for full face shields for comparable products... Looking at $30-$40. That is why I decided to go with one that would cover the viewable screen area, and I will just get a couple silicone cases, in case mine gets gets messed up.

I just received it today. Installed exactly as directions stated. Looks like I made a good choice in guesstimating the screen size, as the ipod classics supposed 2.5" screen is apparently just a couple hairs bigger (literally) than the M6's 2.4" screen. I had about a hairs width extra on all sides.

Follow the directions carefully, wash your hands really good before putting it on the M6 and you should be all set. It took me a couple attempts to get it positioned right, but thankfully since they provide a spray that you put on the screen protector and your fingers before install, this went without a hitch.

A good product overall, I would recommend it. It is definately thicker and feels much more durable than the film that the M6 comes with.

Since I plan to keep my M6 in a silicone case, the viewable screen area is the only part I was concerned with getting a scratch. The ipod 80/160GB Classic screen protector is perfect for this.

Considering that I live a half day drive from where it was shipped from, and it took a week to get here... I would not recommend going with their free shipping, unless you are OK with waiting.
