What I asked them is:
How can I edit EBN file to activate ALL the languages in it? I know there are a lot languages there and only English/Chineese available.
Can someone tell me how to do this? I've tried reshacker, multiple hex editors and nothing.
I do have Resource Editor for the resource.bin file BUT you cannot activate, lets say Polish, German languages from the official firmware. You must use the Emgeton one to use those languages, but Emgeton throws in their logos and options everywhere and it SUCKS. There is no problem in editing language ( resource.bin) file - the problem is with the m6.ebn file which is the firmware and it somehow blocks the resource.bin to show all the languages in it.
Please help us (a lot of people would like to have all languages in their players).
I assume you just can't activate all languages because of Radio FM? Because there are tax issues in Europe. But could you at least give us a tool (unofficially...) to activate the languages we want? Then you wouldn't brake the law and we could use the language we want.
PS
The Polish translation in the original file is nearly perfect... if you need help translating it 100% good I can do this.
PS2
Keep up the good work!!!! A lot of people like your products which in our opinion they are a lot better than Apple or Creative. We can't wait for Meizu M8.
Thanks!!!!!!!! And Please respond.
What they said:
At least they respond, what do you guys think I should write back since I don't even have a distributor here?Dear Sir,
Thanks for your email.
Regarding the edite tool, i do not think we will open it. Moreover, we only offer the local version according to the market better to distinguish the market and distributions. If you need the local original version, pls feel free to contact our distributor for further informaiton.
Thank you and best regards,
Ella Wong

this reply has costed Ella Wong less than 1 minute and a cup of tea. Don't you realize that this company does not support or inform their customers ?

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsIf they do care, ask if they can release some VMV and VCV etc. information for their video decoder, so that we can make XviD always encode movies which work 100% on the M6. It should only be about 7 numbers, I can't see anything of IP in that.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsThat's a pretty strong statement there. I see Ella Wong's reply being a very typical response from any business. There are distributors in different regions for good reasons, providing local services being one of them.
But seriously what do you expect a customer service representative of any company to say or write, when a customer asks for an "unofficial" release of a tool to modify the firmware? I doubt Apple, Creative, Samsung, Cowon or any other manufacturer would respond to such request any differently.
Now if you are saying Meizu should support other languages that would be a different story. That would be a decision by Meizu's management depending on the availability of resources, market shares, etc.

that is something I would never request ! I was speaking of simple customer information :
- which problems will get adressed ?
- when will be the next fw release / what is the status ?
- what is generally planned and what is going on ?
You people here get excited over a menu-return button and a large-font-highlight feature in the menu ? Well, I don't. There are B U G S to be fixed. It's ridiculous that people even defend this politics. It's unprofessional and more than that : it scares away their own customers.BatMan, the free video converter for Meizu players. Problems ? Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsFor the record, I was referring to, and only to, your comment about Ella Wong spending only one minute typing the reply to the request for an unofficial tool to modify the firmware; you did not make the request but someone did and she's replying to THAT request! She did the right thing by saying 'no', as any customer service representative would at any company.

I agree, and very well said. Someone replied to me when i argued about that and they replied that; "oh, its so if your button wear out". Forget that! If your button doesn't work then either get it fixed or buy new one. The 'M' button does more than just getting back to parent level.
People automatically look at the appearance more than the underlying functionality.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsI've never used the resource editor before, but.....
Can't you just put in Polish words for the English "translation" in the resource.bin file? Then just set the language to "English" and you will get Polish.

Won't the M6_Font_Import tool change the language as well?

Thanked 0 Times in 0 Postsadd a feature
I was tryin to write Turkish in Chinese Language part but it takes a lot of time!!!
and clicking modify after each word is really annoying
Why there isn't a part in the editor program which changes the numbers of the languages
If this feature is added, there wont be any problem at all (i think :D)
At least we can select 3 languages whatever we want it to be

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsBobbyQ: I guess you're talking about the MP3 stuttering issue thingie. Personally I've never came across it yet, and I've converted most of my music to the ogg vorbis format. Vorbis will give you higher quality at the same bitrate anyways, so you can simply convert from mp3 to ogg with the same bitrate and I'm sure you won't be able to hear any change in sound quality. And then I don't see any very serious problem really.
UltraBright: As far as I can see, you've bought a player for a rather cheap price that has a VERY good sound quality. And many other features. You could also buy an iPod with half the memory size for your money with a worse sound quality and no e-book or video features. Oh and their support won't bother about your requests eighter, they just have that many customers that they woudln't care if they lost a few hundred. And it's not necessarily much better with any other brand that gives at least a listenable music quality at least in my oppinion. Welcome to the world, where people sell things to get money, not so the buyer will be the happiest possible (unless they see more income if the buyer's happy that is!)
Aps: guarantee is for that. Meizu gives 1 year with their players meaning that they will guarantee it to you that it will work for 1 year. If it wouldn't, you can take it back to your seller and you will get a fix or replacement. You buy the player accepting that. If your button dies in the 1 year, you can get a fix. If not, then that's your luck. And it can and will happen with any digital thing, it's also in a very big part luck. And at least Meizu's trying to protect the M button with the return option, so you would press it less. If you've overused it already, then that's the end of it.
naturelmania: You can't change the numbers, cuz (I guess) they are stored in the resource file one after the other and the numbers are only the way they are stored. To change that, you would probably need to copy the strings over in the resource file itself simply. You should use instead a smart sollution and get a keyboard/mouse macro program and make a macro to copy over a string from one language to the other and save the changes, and then you can use that macro to copy over all lines in a very short time. There, no hand acheing. You can also use the Emgeton firmware perhaps, which has many languages unlocked. You just don't upload THEIR resource file, but the official one or a skinned one, and poof. No emgeton logos. Although whoever has TP version isn't lucky with that ^^
Hope I've helped cool down some people or helped solving some translation problems maybe...

"Meizu" and a simple answer which says "f.ck yourself and shut up!" create attention.
