Hi ppl... First of all, sorry for the pain to read through this post ,wrote in a language which could possibly identified as english....
. over the last 6 months i watched the meizume site to get a picture about the Player i wished to buy.Well, i ordered one and right now i hold it in my hands. An all black edition 4GB M6 SP.
I have to say: THIS is really a cool and shiny little piece of Hardware.
For only around 100 Euros, there is nothing else on the market which offers similar fnctionality and manufacturing quality.
I´m native german and most times my attitude regarding chinese products isn´t that uhmm.. friendly. but i have to say: with this Miniplayer they have done good work.
Now its up to Meizu to keep this up, and if they are wise they will support their community. good reputation is key.
Anyway, i bought it without any drug influences and furthermore i am aware of those excessively mentioned FW Bugs which shurely still existing.
In my personal view this where the reasons to buy it:
First of all: i buy those little gadgets mostly to play around with them. I like it to modify its functionality, tweak the look of its menus etc.. this can perfectly done with the M6.
Next: i have done a sound shootout with a Nano, a cowon, PSP and an IAudio device. The M6 sound is far, far better than the apple, and for my ears it sounded also better than the others.
In fact, the proud nano owner was heavily impressed, not to mention slightly depressed..
There are also tons of individual settings around sound effects, EQ etc..
I tested only 2 Videos so far, i cant tell much about sync problems between audio and video. But if there is a workaround as mentioned by some guys here, this doesn,t matter for me.
Its better to have a device wich offers a lot of functionality may be with one or two bugs in it, than a device on which the product designer cutted most of the goodies off, due to the fact that there can be a problem with it in some way.
So, my opinion for this thread is: If you are one of those guys who really like to play around with your new toy and you are not in danger to become heavily demoralized only if may be one of hundred mp3 songs doesnt play well.. this is the right player for you.
Others should go for a Cowon or Samsung or what ever. Push a button, listen to the music. thats it.
Thx and best wishes ..Ralf

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsRalf,
Welcome to the forum and the M6 club. You have my consensus on everything you said about the M6 in your post. I purchased an SL recently and I'm very happy with it. I can't think of a better deal with its price and performance.
Enjoy!

First of all, Welcome to MeizuMe, and congrats on your M6 purchase. I have not experenced any of the bugs that people have except for the video lag, which can be fixed via holding the RW button for a second where the Movie starts to lag. However, the bgs seem to be fixed in the New Firmware, S2.004.3. Try it.
If you are having trouble with your player, please visit this thread first and try the steps before you panic. Most likely you will be able to fix your player easily using the steps listed.
Players: Meizu M6 SP 4GB, iPod Touch 4G
Headphones: SoundMAGIC PL-50s, Auvio In-Ear Armatures, Bose QC-15s.
Current Audio Congifuration: X-Fi Elite Pro w/LM4562 Mod -> Mission MS-50 + Boston Acoustics Subwoofer

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsThanks all for the warm welcome,
playin´around with my new toy one of the first things i have done was to edit the FM.INI to show all of the stations with their names for my region.
I found that there must be something like a size limitation of that fm.ini list.
I entered around 80 station frequencies with corresponding station names.
I thought if i do this i do it right and type in every station i knew of..
Well i dropped this edited fm.ini into the system folder and restarted the Player..
Boom.. startlogo Meizu.. and nothing else happened. Frozen meizu..
Ok. Pushed the Enter Button for 20 secs and reboot again.. same, meizu Logo and thats it..hung again.
Next i pushed the M and Forward button while switching on, cool, the device formats itself.. Hehe, every setting gone but hey lets do it again..
I found that if my fm.ini has less then 59 Entries everything is fine. If i enter 60 stations --> frozen meizu..
Think it could be interesting to know, think the system cant read in lists with more than ~ 60 Entries.
Its not a problem, because thats enough. ut good to know.
regards Ripp
