should i???
sup guys,
as some of you know, i live in china and use the m6.
so, i could very well pick up the SL model, but is it worth it?
i mean, is a replacement of the m6?, literally?
just cause its slimmer, supposedly has better hardware and has been hyped up, is it worth it?M6: 4 GB.
Feather office: USB program.
QVC: ear canal phones.

Yeah you should wait till 2008 ........... *blank stare.....
source: http://www.engadget.com/2007/09/19/m...miliar-at-all/Well, that didn't take long. Hot on the heels of the iPod touch starting to ship, spunky Chinese upstart Meizu has announce the M7, a curiously-familiar PMP featuring a 3-inch touchscreen. Meizu CEO Jack Wong announced the player on the company's forums, so details are a little sketchy, but it looks like the unit will feature a 16:9 480 x 288 screen and support H.264 playback. The picture is apparently a mockup, but we're hearing that the M7 will go on sale in late 2008 in 1GB, 2GB and 8GB versions for $100, $110, and $150. Of course, given how long it's taken the M8 to hit, that's all up in the air, but something tells us we'll be hearing a lot about this thing in the future.
So lets do the math
Meizu M6 SL = just released this September and making it's way to retail outlets now.
Meizu M7 = March 2008 Next year ( this will be a touch screen dap )
Meizu M8 = Next year presumably ( M8 is actually an iphone mobile rather than a dap if it even does that i am not sure ... )
* Moogle enjoys his new meizu m6 sl just ordered in September :]
As far as i understand, the newer m6 se ( is this m7 ? ) will have the same specs as the m6 sl with the exception that the se will have better video screen support and a tv out thingy, also it will play any source of video without you having to re-encode.
But i only care about the audio and i don't use the video feature to watch movies anyway. But if that is important to you maybe you should wait.
Does he mean the M6 SL will have the same audio chip as M7 ? If that is true then since i've already ordered my M6 SL i won't be missing out much except a new user interface with eye candy :xThe following is quoted J. Wong 2007-9-20 0:34:00 in the statement:
音频芯片估计和sl版差不多,主控芯片是我们在三星定制一个全新的芯片Audio chip estimation and almost sl version, we control the Samsung chip is a brand new custom chip
Source: http://64.233.179.104/translate_c?hl...9/15253_1.htmlAnother official also disclosed M7 audio chip may be almost SL version, but is conscious control chip in a new Samsung customized chips.
I think the M6 SL audio chip will be same as M6 SE. Only difference as mentioned earlier is the tv out and video capability, but in terms of audio remains the same.Last edited by Moogle Stiltzkin; 09-29-2007 at 06:14 PM.
