    Meizu Fried!?!

    Ok so heres the deal,

I bought a new Meizu 4gb miniplayer sp online, after a week of waiting for it to arrive I turn it on to check it out, everythings in chinese but I figure I can change the language later so I turn it off using only the power button.

    Heres comes the problem:

I cant turn it back on! the screen is black, but I can hear clicking response noises whenever I use any of the buttons!

Ok so really want to keep my Meizu so I spend 3+ hours in these forums trying to find methods to fix it.
Ive tried pressing the left/pwer keys, right/powerkeys, everything, but its still in the same condition, so I try to use DFU Tools to upgrade, or plain fix it.
Im using the the correct SP DFU Tools package, and the most recent firmware update, Im even following the admin instructions closely (ie. using the M and pwr keys) but low and behold another problem arises:

It turns out that DFU Tools cant recognise it!

My XP OS is an Intel system and does recognise the device as a Meizu Miniplayer, I can even transfer files to and from it.

On top of other things I cant download an English manual online because my SN says that my Meizu was sold in China.

    *sob* PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME!!
I think I might have to trash this and buy an IPod intead

I'm guessing you probably already know this but want to make sure...you have to hold the power on button for a sec for it to turn on. And if you didn't know that I sure do hope you didn't screw it up trying to use the DFU tools.

lol yes I am fully aware of that, Ive spent 3+ hours running through these forums after all. Unfortunately thats not the problem, even holding onto the power button for 1min didnt work. Clicking any button still produces sound.
    Thanks anyway

If you are hearing the clicking from touchstrip usage then your player is on so doing a hard reset by using the POWER\PLAY & << >> buttons is not going to do anything as they are boot time processes and only work if the player is off to start with.

Your only rest option available if the player is on is to hold down the enter button (arrow at the bottom of touchstrip) for 60 seconds or so. If it resets the clicking sound will stop. Then you can try to reboot with one of the hard reset options.

The DFU Tool is not working for the same reason, the player must be in an off state first for the player to boot to DFU mode.
