Why don´t you try for yourself? Your player won`t explode!

Sorry!

You know, before posting, I clicked up here on the page on the "Search", and queried for "Automatic Gain Control". It didn't give me any hits, and that's why I posted.

As for your last line---I DID try, and I didn't notice any difference, and that's why I asked.

Thanks for the quote, though, that is useful for me.

It auotmatically adjusts the volume of voice recording. It will magnify the sound when everything is quiet, and will un-magnify it when t is loud.

Thanks, I hope it works as it's intended to work.

One last thing, here's a use case scenario:

I do some voice recording. Then I go back to the lists, and there are no files. Then I do library update, and check again---still, nothing. Then I connect to PC, and the recorded file is actually there!

Beats me...if that's how it is and I'm not missing something, it seems like it's a pretty lame bug..

Yeah it is a bug. Try Updating the firmware.

I'm with the latest firmware, the M6 came in the mail with it installed already (I got my M6 2 days ago).

Then I guess this function will always be ON then, right? Since it helps in adjusting the correct volume of recording...
