[Solved] "Loading..." screen freeze-up

Windows will detect the player as a DFU device and ask for the driver which should be included with the DFU Tool. The M and Power\Play must be held down throughout the whole recovery process. If you let them go the DFU Device will disconnect.

    Thanks /\/\@D/\/\@/\/,
I should have read the FAQ more cafefully. So I've been able to get my unit to act as a DFU device holding the M button and holding power. My computer recognizes the unit and I was able to run DFU tools, download M6.EBN and then it says it is enumerating...
when I unplug and hit power I still have the Loading.... screen freeze

any help would be greatly appreciated

do you have the Dane Elec verion or the Meizu version?
Using the DFU tools wont void your warranty depending on where you bought it from...

I have the Dane Electric version bought from miniplayer.info ---
but regardless I'm already using DFU tools - but I can't get past this Loading..... screen.

Should I just try and return it for service?

avster, if you are still having the problem there is a more complete solution that I just discovered. I had the exact same problem you did: the DFU with S1010 rom didn't work...

    1. DFU with S1009 rom DOES work... download it here: Old Firmwares
    2. After DFU with S1009, you'll get the green screen.
    3. Load the S1009 ROM by the normal upgrade process (copying the two files to the unit using Windows Explorer) and resetting the unit. It'll be in Chinese... and my Chinese is pretty bad so...
    4. Upgrade the unit to S1010 using the normal way again. You may have to do it a few times. I did.
    5. Eventually it'll say "Formatting please wait". Be patient and then you can turn it on again and it will work.

Thats the solution... For those of you who are not able to use DFU tools correctly it is because the .dfu image is made for the older version of the firmware. Newer versions of the firmware show status as "Enumerating"
