(JW) M6SL Mid September

This is a discussion on (JW) M6SL Mid September within the General Meizu M6 forums, part of the miniPlayer M6 / SL category; Looks like the M6SL may be released mid September, however it may be priced slightly higher than the current M6....

yeah, that translation is pretty much 99% correct, no corrections needed. Except the design plans of the M6SE is suppose to say "the M6SE has NOT even started official design, due to the M8" blah blah...

I'm just curious how you have these messages so fast if you don't read chinese yourself... do you have some sort of RSS from Meizu BBS lol

This is nice but wait the playing time is lower ? Well,i guess this is the price for the 7mm.>_<
Still waiting for M6SE, news for this one would be cool^^
One question the SE will have about 7mm just like the SL.But pls tell me that the playing time at the SE will be more than the current SP.

If nothing has been done with the M6SE I doubt we will see it till early 2008 which is a bummer as I was hanging out for it. I will have to find some new ways to torture my current M6. I have read that if I pop it in the freezer for a couple of days it can improve the sound quality, sounds like a plan to me

If Meizu does this correctly, the SL should be priced higher to protect the current distributors who have purchased and stock large quantities of the current models.

The Dane-Elecs and Emgeton's wouldn't be too happy if they had a whole boatload of current models and the SL was released at a lower or equal price point. This just makes good business sense on Meizu's part if they truly value these partnerships.

this seems ludicrous to me. what were they thinking?:

'I know lets shave a few mm's of an already very small product and reduce the already not amazing battery life to even less!'

why don't they spend their time fixing the glitches in both the m6 and the m3 firmware instead of trying to make the functionality of theirs products even worse?

sere83, my_zoo, hifreak, I am pretty sure Meizu is well aware of this, and there is no need for you guys to mention it to them for the 100th time. Whilst that's true, others (like me) are waiting for the new players to come out, and most of all, the M8. So to us, those are more important to us then our current M6 (maybe not the case for you, but since I have had my M6 for nearly 1.5 to 2 years, I am kinda getting bored of it).

And to Madman: that'll mean no music for 2 days. are you willing to switch possible music quality for boredom

This Thread makes me mad! I don't have a M6 yet as I wanted to wait for the SL cause I expected it to be as powerful as the current one. Now I'm not sure what to do... Wait for at least one month to get the SL which will be 1. more expensive, 2. less powerful, 3. 3mm thinner or get a M6 now for 1. cheaper money, with 2. higher battery life but 3. 3mm thicker.
Are happy with your M6 or do you wish it was thinner?

    What would you recommend me?

Do you want to be unique? If so, then get the M6SL because when it comes out, not many people will own it - you can be the first and we'll all be asking how it is from you

Or you can go with the well-known awesome M6 original which everyone here can help you if there are problems.

I'm sitting with the posts about this being kinda dumb to do.

They should: make the circuitry smaller and make the internal stuff take a smaller space if they can, but then they should replace that space with more battery instead of shaving off about 3 credit cards' thickness which doesn't mean anything, anyway, other than you can stick 3 more credit cards into your pocket.

This thing is thin enough the way it is, and making it thinner is just a gimmick. Any thinner, anyway, and it will be thinner then the width of the headphone plug, and end up starting to look like this thing:

With a jack wider than the player, what's the use of making it thinner? Saving plastic? Enough to make 1 more front cover after 1000 are made?

Anyway, that's my view. I guess it won't matter too much to me, since I'm gonna pull a madman and use a large external ipod battery to get as much time as I need for a week's use. Let's hope they don't downgrade the already crammed circuitry to make the player that tiny bit thinner.

To me, the current m6 is thin enough..making it thinner to compromise the battery life - forget it.
After reading the message, i don't think they will care about the m6se(which i had hope to be release soon). Unless, they failed on their m6sl sales or m8 doesn't work out so well..

I think I'm gonna be unique enough even with the common M6 as I've never seen it in the wildlife here in my area.

    EDIT: Just ordered a 4gb M6 :-)
