If I have a circuit board that only works enough to charge a battery, like mine is right now, I could build a charger for the spare battery and charge it separately while suying the M6 battery.I swim through a sea of stars, without looking back to shore...

Regulate it .... Surley thats not exactly the 3.7 v the player uses , If you use the internal battery and the external one that youve added and put a regulator board to 3.7v on (Or whatever the standard m6 batterys voltage are) youll get combined capacity of both batteries.

Cool, but instead of drilling a hole in the back of your player, I would suggest drilling the hole somewhere along the side of the player. Solder a jack of some sort to the output of the battery, and stick the female version of that jack into your player, and viola you have a removeable external battery. Without having to dish out money fo the Meizu one.
If you are having trouble with your player, please visit this thread first and try the steps before you panic. Most likely you will be able to fix your player easily using the steps listed.

Hi and Welcome to the Forums! Why do you need to change the battery? Is it dead? If so, at the moment, there is no replacement M6 battery that you can buy, but you can remove that dead battery, solder on the iPod battery, drill a hole in the back, much like how Madman did his mod. To open the case, just jam your thumbnail somewhere along the side of your player, and bring it around the whole perimeter of your player, it should pop open once you get back to where you started (Stick your nail into a crack, drag your nail around the player while it is still in the crack). Hoep this helps!
