Hey, that's a really cool idea!!

would be nice to see that option somehow.. someday, but I don't think it will happen since M6 has been out for quite a lot now and I think Meizu will stop firmware upgrades soon.

Yeah, I have thought of this idea since I got the M6 but WOW... looks better then I thought! And very practical too. Is this possible with a firmware upgrade you think? I think it is possible...

It would need a total re-write of all the GUI coding but it could be done with a firmware update but sadly I doubt it will ever see the light of day.

It looks interesting, but I still prefer the horizontal layout.
Can't wait to play with the Meizu MX!

I like it, but the controls seem to be very unhandy in this position.

but the lyrics display is a fading and keeps the current line in the middle ... I would want that too if it were possible since I use lyrics a lot.

nice idea but the player is meant to be used horizontally

video playback will also be less convenient vertically and the controls will be totally in convenient

    ill take horizontal any day

Good idea! I would love it. Any chance it will be a firmware upgrade? One thing, make music scrolling horizontal. It makes the controls when scrolling more oriented to how the player is held.
If you are having trouble with your player, please visit this thread first and try the steps before you panic. Most likely you will be able to fix your player easily using the steps listed.

In make believe bits it looks alright, but I don't see the practicality of holding the M6 that way.

I'm used to it being horizontal; besides it sets me apart from the iCattle. :-P

I like the vertical concept very much! I would prefer it instead of the old layout. :D

Maybe I have smaller fingers, but I'm able to hold it with two fingers and use my thumb to navigate quite easy. But for "enter" and "back" they should use the original left an right buttons ... if an implementation is possible and simple, why not ...

But wait, maybe now it's totally clear, I have to buy a M3 right now

    Perseo, you can't. It's just a "Concept"...

I kinda wonder if half the people replying to this about how good it is even think about trying to scroll right for up and left for down, and the other buttons, too.

It's nice, but it would be impractical as someone said, because its layout wasn't designed to be used that way. Also, I wouldn't like the names of my songs cut off more due to the narrower screen area. I already have a bunch I can't even see the name of because they're scrolled off the edge.

Very cool idea, but definetly somewhat pointless. The controls for one reason, and video playback another. Definetly nice to see people tweaking and coming up with their own stuff though

Maybe this idea could serve as a design idea for M6SE or M6SL :D
