What Is The Best Way To Protect Your Meizu?

I use scotch clear packaging tape along with the original protectors on the Meizu. I cut a 10" long and 1" wide piece of packaging tape, and wrap it around the sides of the player. Then, I use an X-acto knife to cut out the power and hold buttons and I cut out the USB and headphone jack. This is the least bulky way to fully protect your Meizu against light-medium scratches, but not enough to protect from 4' drops to asphalt (long story).

uhh...doesnt that completely ruin the looks of the player?
beside that the player already comes with protective layers and the tape doesn't protect against impact..

I agree though a silicone or crystal cover makes the player bulky quickly

This is not the correct way of showing images on a forum. You must upload it to some webhosting, or use a free image-hosting like http://imageshack.us/.

Would love to see your 'protection' :P I myself mostly use my crystal case when at school, the leather pouch when at home and on some occasions in the holidays the silicone case.

It doesn't. The player looks perfect except for the back, where you can see a couple of lines where the piece of tape ends.

Here is a picture of the back of my Meizu. You can see where the tape ends and how I have folded it together. I tried to take a picture of one of the sides, but the tape wouldn't show up because it is clear. The only place where you can actually see it is the back. Sorry if you wanted to see the whole player. I know it is a bit small, but you can save it to your desktop and enlarge it.

Guys, I'm sorry, if I confused you. I used " for feet and used ' for inches.

LOL, you uploaded a pretty large image, only you provided the wrong address. This is the correct address for the full resolution: http://img262.imageshack.us/img262/3688/picturezz8.jpg

I prefer my leather pouch and crystal case to your finding any day however. Excuse me to say it, but it totally takes away the beauty of the player.

Another thing that should be mentioned, is that these tapes use an adhesive which is not acid-free, means it is agressive & has a limited lifetime (of transparency & adhesive strength)

You misunderstood. :P I mean his finding takes away the beaty of the player. After re-reading what I typed it must sound a bit confusing.

My finished crochet bag from my mum, will hold away the most scratches, but I'm not really protecting my M6 at all. I can live with scratches on the back as long it will play my favorite music. It would be nice if the player would be a investigation in the future ... but I know exactly if the sp comes out, I will give away my current sweety instantly to my best friend.

The tape actually holds well and you cannot notice it except for the back.

How about trying the protective custom skins, though it does cost $10 of your own custom skin to be made i think its a good protection. Though it may take the original beauty out of your Meizu, you still have it because you designed the custom skin on it. The only thing is that, it does 6mm onto the Meizu. 3mm for the actual custom skin, and then another 3mm for the clear protection.

Check out the threads on the custom protective skins
