Hello I'm to the forum thought I'd make a post on my starting impressions...
So i got my meizu 4 GB m6 sp friday and all i have to say is "what an experience!" I was a little worried at first since my vista would not show the device as plug n play, I quickly realized it gave me the same trouble with a fuji camera. The meizu connected to a roommate's computer and to my media center in the living room. So obviously I had some faulty drivers acquired from the Vista install. So naturally I reformatted (of course I keep everything backed up) and Wa la! it connected like a charm. I did the firmware upgrade, noticed the buttons worked a little more intuitively. i put a couple of favorite songs on, messed around with sound settings to get it just right, added some resized pictures to add for backgrouds and slideshows, and finally downloaded 28 days later, converted it and watched the movie from the comfort of my bed.
My only gripe is that the video aspect seems very very buggy, voice was off a couple of frames (could get annoying after awhile), RW and FF dont work at all and i think even the pause button was not working out. Will these issues be ironed out in the next patch?
Well if so, this player totally kills the competition with its cheap price, $120 + $8 priority mail shipping. Just so many functions with a very clean interface make this a great bargain. No offense to ipod lovers ( I was a former ipod photo owner), but you guys are getting cheated by those nanos.

Welcome!
yeah video is one topic I'm not really happy with it. For me it's okay if I can watch my Southpark episodes, which I converted from RM to Avi which works fairly well.
But for me, sound, duration, skinable gui, size and so on makes the M6 to the best mp3 player on the market. I love it very much but anyhow I hope the m6se or m8 come soon :-)Small moves, Ellie, small moves.

while i agree video doesn't perform as well as it should the RW and FF do work... the video controls are the exact opposite of the sound controls. to FF or RW in video you actually have to use the M and enter keys instead of the FF and RW keys...
also, it often seems better to use a converter different from the one you get with the player. some converters seem to give little or no problems with audio syncing

@Susanna,
I feel the same way, the funny thing is that the meizu's are so cheap they allow for a consumer to just buy another one lol.
BTW, anyone know of a good set of in-headphones? So far I've been keeping an eye on the Jays j-JAYS Dynamic Driver Earphones, any other suggestion (around $50) are more than welcome!

?????? The M and Enter keys control the volume in video, at least they do on my M6.
