This is a discussion on Meizu M6 vs Teclast T29 within the General Meizu M6 forums, part of the miniPlayer M6 / SL category; I've searched throught the forums and I haven't found a teclast vs meizu thread. I'm thinking of buying the $100 ...

I've searched throught the forums and I haven't found a teclast vs meizu thread. I'm thinking of buying the $100 4GB meizu from walgreens because I'm just one of those impatient people who just can't wait for the 8GB se to come out :P..but then I saw a Teclast T29 for $133 and it's 8GB. So as you can see, I'm kinda stuck between the two players...in my opinion the meizu looks prettier but the teclast has more space for a somewhat lower price..all opinions and thoughts would be great :D

I had a Teclast T29 before. It is very small and stylish. The sound is nice with no hiss(has a extra soundchip). M6s video playback, GUI and battery is better. I think that you should pick a Meizu. I like the T29 a bit too though.

For all informations about Teclast products, the best way is to take a look at Teclasters.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsIs the size of the Meizu and Teclast players a big difference? Also, I've heard that the Teclast player plays videos, but I'm not sure whether its better or worse than video playing on the meizu

The T29 has a 2.0 inch screen , whereas the meizu is 2.4" , The teclast is made more music , whereas the meizu is for music and video , The teclast c260 or somthing is for both music and video as it has a 2.4" screen + Micro SD slot.

I sell both the Meizu and Teclast products. There are definitely differences between the players, but which is preferred is so subjective, it comes down to what you are looking for. Anything you read or answered will be just that, someones opinion or preference.
I think the T29 has better sound clarity than the Meizu. If it's video you want then the M6 or C260/C280 is better with the larger screen size. If you want the larger capacity and occassional video, the T29. User interface, battery life are M6 pluses. Included accessories, M6 (better earphones), T29 included wall charger.
All in all they are both very competent players, that each have their own quirks, advantages, and cons. I personally like the toggle switch of the T29 versus the touch pad of the M6 or even C260/C280. It's a tactile thing for me, and the touchiness of the touchpads isn't as nice as a firm click and directional navigation.
I'm not sure about the skins, but I'm thinking that they can be reskinned. The Teclasters site is definitely the place to get more information.
