DFU Tools

1. Install DFU Tools on your computer (only available for Windows). checked
2. Copy the firmware (Use firmware version 1.009 for best results) files (M6.EBN and resource.bin) to the directory where the DFU Tool is installed. checked
3. Press and hold Power button and M button, then connect to PC using the USB cable. checked
4. Before that Windows New Hardware Wizard will appears, asking if you want to connect to Windows Update to check for drivers, click on “No, not this time”. Click on next. No. It detect as unknown device/not recognize by windows
5. The next screen of the wizard asks if you want to install automatically or using a specific location (advanced). Select the advanced option, and then click next. No wizard. Selected the advanced option using device manager/update driver.
6. Check the 'Include this location in the search' option and specify the directory where DFU Tools is installed, after that, click next. Checked
7. Let windows finish installing drivers. Once drivers are installed, you can use the DFU Tools. Nothing happens. Still detect as unknown device.
8. Run the application and then click Download. When this is complete click close. Runned but no device detected.

Help? My player is M6SP

"Now Hold down the M and Power buttons simultaneously. Keep those buttons held down tightly, and plug your player into your computer. You player should be recognized as a DFU Device."
- I guess here's the problem. Windows doesn't recognize it as DFU Device. But kept on USB device not recognize.

no pc does recognise my meizu.
Followed the DFU tools steps, until it says "Enumerating...". After a while with no accion on the tools' screen, I disconnect the USB and release M+on/off. Switch it on and off few times, but still wont recognise it.

is this the dfu server for sp?

Yes, only for SP, and not SL. A link to the SL version can be found in the M6 resources link in my signature.

It's also for TP, try following the guide in my signature.

I have ended the process but, in the end the field "status" shows "Enumerating" and hold this. but my Meizu still blackscreen.... Can You Help me?????

Hi

Disconnect all components of the USB ports.

It's imperative that we have ONLY Meizu connected to the USB port. (Directly to the PC's USB port). Mouse and keyboard you connect ps/2 port.

And then:

Hold Play + M
Run DFU tools and ... Meizu live again!

i hav a meizu m6 sp wch is bricked.....it flashes for a sec when i press power...its not recognizing as a usb or dfu (wen i hold power and m and connect)......its black all time....plzzzz help:-(.....

Okay I am an idiot, because after downloading the DFU tools program I can not get it to run. What am I doing wrong?

Look inside the faq above this page. You need to copy a fresh firmware somewhere inside the folder where you installed DFU. This required to get it to run.

Usually I would press M button for 10 sec. before I connecting it to the PC but since it make this flash you say for a second, it should be ok. It's not completely bricked.
You should then do the DFU process (press M and Play together while connecting) and try use DFU and see if it will recognize it. In any case the screen on your player will remain black which I would say is normal. Until you may reach a step where you need to turn your player on, it should show something.

Hi! It was quite long ago that you've posted the Meizu DFU tools on meizume, and it's no more downloadable. Could you please tell me how could I obtain a copy? I have a dead M6 TP player and I'd like to try to resurrect it and recover some files (recorded voice) from it. Thanks!
