The M6.EBN is part of every firmware.
Make sure to get the correct version for your player (SP or TP).

Read the FAQ first and if you want to ask in french too, you can do it in the french forum.

    Help meeee

I tried using the DFU tools and at first it was able to detect the DFU server(on/off + m)... Means i have already successfully installed the driver... So i continue to download the 2 image into my player... But everytime when it reaches the enumerating part, it tends to be stucked there for a very long time... In the end i had to kill the installer... I tried for about 2 or 3 times when gave me the same result until now it cant even recognise it as a DFU server...

Anione knows how come my computer does not recognise the dfu server now?

Hold down the M key and then press and hold down the Power\Play button. (IMPORTANT:You need to keep both buttons pressed through the entire proceedure) then connect your player via usb.
Windows will detect your player as a DFU Server and open the driver installation window.
Choose "Install from a list or specific location", in the next window choose "Search for best drivers in these locations" and "Include this location in the search" and browse to the DFU Server Folder.
Once the driver is installed run Secdfu.exe
    You should see the following.

Press the download button to begin loading the firmware.
Once complete disconnect the player and turn it on.
If you need to install the resource.bin connect the player and copy it to root then reboot the player.
If the resources fail to install press and hold Power\Play+>> and format the player then try installing the resource.bin again.

hey i couldnot find DFU Server folder to place

somebody asked this, but got no answer, What is the "M" button. I looked at my manual, and at my M6. I don't see anything referred to as an "M" button. Sorry for seeming the idiot here...

now I really feel like an idiot...though I have to tell you, having had the M6 for about a week and using it daily, I never realized that was an "M"... my eyes aren't the greatest, but I don't think I would have figured it out if you had not pointed it out to me...
    Thanks,
    Phil

When I go to the driver search thing and type in the location of the DFU tools folder...it wont let me select it. It says something like it doesn't have the drivers. Any idea of what's going wrong here?

IF you aren't keeping the m and play button help the M6 stops acting as a USB server to windows, and they can't be found because windows doesn't know what device it's supposed to look for drivers for.

I did exactly what you said and got this error when trying to get it to search the DFU tools folder...

"The location you specified does not contain any device information files

Please enter another location or uncheck the 'Include this location in the search' box"

I got the folder in on my desktop btw...I don't know if that is a problem or not.

One last thing to try is just deleting DFU Tools and then getting the file from here again. Try to do it again. Read my PM to you about using an INTEL USB chipset and turning off USB 2.0. If the motherboard uses an Intel processor, it's probably got an intel or intel compatible usb chipset. You can usually tell just by going to the device manager and looking under the Universal Serial Bus list at the bottom.

Thanks...I fixed it. Thanks for the help. This was my dumb mistake because I was putting the .EBN file in the place where I extracted the folder instead of actually going to the program folder in windows...and putting it there. 8+ hours of trying to fix the mp3 player just to find out that I was just being dumb! Anyways, thanks for all the help. MY MEIZU LIVES AGAIN!
