I won an eBay auction for a Black Black Edition 8GB M6 a few days ago for a VERY good price. Just today I get a message from the seller saying this:
Has anyone heard of this being an issue? I'm not quite sure what they mean by "upper part" if that is just the front part of the casing or the connection panel with the plug ports. I've also ordered a white Meizu brand silicone case and clear crystal case from HOD so the player will be held in snug either way.We are sorry to tell you that the Meizu with Black Back is not good that the Black case are not tight with the upper part.
We can make full refund to you, or change the one with sliver back and a free black silicon case to you.
Perhaps it's just their way of saying they are out of Black Black, since I specifically messaged them and asked for that version before I bid and they assured me they had it in stock.
Or maybe they are cracking them open to mess with the chips? stealing my 8GB and putting in something smaller and now they can't get it back together cleanly....any possibility or am I just being paranoid?
What do you guys think I should do?

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsThey would be talking about how the plastic fronts clip into the metal back case.
I would have expected the backs to be made from same metal case, with the black version powder coated or "blued" like rifle barrels to get the black chrome look.
Have heard no reports of problems and a few members of meizume have bought them.Last edited by FirePower; 05-01-2007 at 11:27 PM.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsProblem enough that they want to send them back? Or just something that a bit of superglue will fix? My thinking is that it will live inside a silicone case or crystal case most of the time anyway so it's not like it's going to fall apart on me. And if it's just a simple problem with clips I'd still rather try and kludge it back together myself than have that icky chrome

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsHi
I bought an all black 8gb m6 from houseofdap and the back was loose. The player came appart at one corner so I could see the battery and other stuff inside. All you have to do is bend the back plate (case) a little so it clips back on tightly.
If I had bought it locally I would have returned it, but it was shipped to me in the UK and there was no more in stock at the time.
I can still feel that the back is a little loose, but it does not fall away anymore. More bending or some glue would probably fix it, but it's fuctional now so i don't want to mess with it anymore.
Great player though so overall i'm happy

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsYeah that doesnt sound too bad. I'd still rather have that than the dodgy chrome backplate. I asked the eBay guy to send me the Black one regardless so we will see if they comply.
Cheers for everyones input.yamumma

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsI have the 8 gig black and the top and bottom half slide about a third of a mm against each other. Doesn't worry me in the slightest. I didn't even notice for the first week or so.

Two black players
I had to black players so far which were bought on ebay. One of them (4 GB) completely black, and the other one (8 GB), front black, back metal.
4 GB was noticeably loose, was a bit annoying to see half a mm opening.
8 GB is barely a little loose, but still I know it isn't perfectly still.
I don't think it is enough trouble to send back to Hong Kong from Turkey. After all, the estimated life is around 3 years actually.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsAs much of an inconvenience as it may be, I have a feeling you will be happier receiving a replacement or refund.
Just keep in mind that in doing so, you should either (A) receive the replacement black/silver M6 before returning the black/black M6 or (B) just ask for a refund and then buy a new one with the money. This way you avoid getting ripped off in case it were a scam <--- though it sounds legit, so you gotta thank your seller for letting you know of the defect.
