    Button Re-configuration/Reprogramming ?? (Enter/Play Button Physically Damaged)

    Hello,

I've owned my M6 SL since '08 and it's served me well. It is very durable, however for about 1 year the ">||" (enter) button has I believed suffered internal damage and I dare not open the player...

So I seek a less invasive, software based method of switching the ">||" button with perhaps the lock button.

    P.S.
In the past I've just switched on the player via USB.
I require to do this now as I'm trying to upgrade my firmware to the latest, and I cannot restart the player manually, as required.

Not possible. It would require modifications on the firmware itself to do so, however no one can do this.
