new meizu m6sl owner, got 2 problems

hi yall

i just got my meizu 3 dayz ago, firmware is SL2.004.6

1. everytime i press on the play bottom when the player is off the sreen would flash/the sreen turns on for about 1/10 a second

2. after failling to turn on the player with the hold on, next time i turn it on it would have to update the music library

3. is there a faster way to search the music? i usally search by the artist name, its organize by the first charactor of the artist name, if i want to listen a song by usher, i would have to browse through almost 100 other artists becasue usher is all the way at the bottom.

Hi and welcome!

1. Known behavior, especially on the SP version. Don't worry, your M6 is not malfunctioning.

2. I think it's an old known bug. Mine does same thing. Unfortunately no fix for that.

3. There are several ways to search music faster on the M6.

By touching the top of the pad once, this will generally bring you quickly at the bottom of most any screens. Alternate you can press the >>| or |<<. This will bring you either top, middle or bottom of a list.

You can create playlists of one desire artist name. Highlight (in your case) usher on the artist name list, then hold Play/pause. The bar should blink 3 times, which means you have added song(s) to a temporary play list. Go to playlist and save it. You now created one list of all songs only made by usher.

ive been lurking on the forum, i just added a new skin to my m6, looks great.

do you know any other cool things or tips i should know?

Hi, i found this thread and it seems you have just bought a new Meizu M6 SL, is it the 8gb version and could you please tell me where you bought it? I lost mine and so much miss it and need to buy another one but this awesome players are disappearing from earth and can't find anyone that sells them... In another thread someone mentioned they bought 3 SL versions for about $108 total.... wow! I need to know a store that sells them legit... Please help... Thanks a lot!

Unfortunately, they are no longer made. I used to sell them, and happened to find one tucked away in a box along with some accessories, like cases. This is the one that akacoke purchased.
