HELP PLEASE!! newbie :)

Hi all,

Sorry if this has previously been posted but I don't have time to go through all the threads.

I got a M6 - SL Version off Trade Me. I can't turn it on! When i plug it into the computer it says its fully charged. But when i try to turn it on it does nothing.

What can I do to fix it? And what is the firmware stuff I keep reading about on here lol.

I am usually pretty good with computers but this stuff is all new to me, have only used an iPod before.

Any advice appreciated please, its a xmas present so want to get it working asap.

I did read thru the help thread but the only thing i thought might work is updating the firmware but to do that i have to be able to turn it on...its really annoying me as I have bought it brand new!

Did you try some of the resets explained in the Guide: Fixing your "Bricked" Player thread?

Depending on the model, There might be a couple of combinations of keys to hold down to "reset" the player. I'm no expert so you might have to read through the various posts/threads to finds the combinations.

chatan - thanks, i have been sitting here reading for a few hours now and have tried all the reset button combinations i have found, i read thru the "guide to fixing your bricked player" but everything i could do didn't work, everything else I am unable to try because the device doesnt show up on my computer, it charges but in "my computer" it doesnt show up with anything in the USB drive
