M6SL stuck at "Loading...", DFU tools are no help

Kid-A is having trouble with his M6SL that he's had for 3 years. He speaks only Spanish and so I offered to translate his problem so that other members with more knowledge on the M6 could help him. He says that he never had problems with it until now. It was plugged into his PC when the PC crashed and had to reboot. Now the M6 gets stuck at the "Loading..." screen and won't go beyond that (it is also not recognized by the PC). He says he tried hard reset, soft reset and DFU Tools but none of the solutions solved the problem. On DFU tools, he got the error "ERROR: Failed to get device status!" Any help would be greatly appreciated!
