yeah I know what u mean, im waiting for the m8 but by that time god only knows whats gonna be out, i'm also seeing m6 prices drop all the time. I just pray meizu keep up by bringing out new players (apart form the m8) in the not so distant future. I have to say the support of sdhc on the cowon d2 does look very appealing as 8gb sdhc's are already supported and the continue to update the firmware regularly so who knows they may evntually support 16gb and upwards. However the thought of the m8's 30fps video on a 3.32 inch 720x480 touch screen is very exciting, especially for the prices that have been mentioned in the preliminary specualtion. The future is definitely in 'all in one' cell phone based pmp's such as the m8 and the iphone though, this year is going to be huge.

the problem is european(american) distribution is slow as hell
Dane Elec does this... i dint know if other companies would be faster but the fact that Dane Elec has no experience marketing an Mp3 player wont help much I think

Thanked 0 Times in 0 Postsjust as with any other electronic device or gadgets, there's ALWAYS something better just around the corner. whether better means lower prices or higher specs depends on the user. basically, if you want it, buy it. :D if you keep waiting around for the next "in" thing, then you'll be waiting forever.

yes.. so?? number one im not complaining im just asking if anyone else has thought of this and number 2.. if meizu chooses distributors whick 'suck' and this means many ppl dont wait for their products thenit doesnt make a difference whose fault it is and number 3.i never said there WERE these products I said since the 8GB clearly wont be widely availble to europe until sometime in april but probably May, since the nano and other 8GB players were out at crimbo or something, by May or a llittle later they will ahve uppeed to 12GB or added something else..
yeah i know this but usually its just one brand which you either buy from when new or wait for thre nezt. the problem is i want meizu but by the time it gets to me there will probably be a mp3 player with a better size for me and i wont know which to choose.
i am very indecisive it has taken me actual years to decide on the m6.. 8gb is just about big enough for me if thats all, but really i would like bigger.. and i dont really want an ipod but if zen brings out a player with more meory and a bigger screen i will have to dicide on my player of choice all over :O( whereas if distirbutors got it here when it camer out in china (when i decided i wanted it) i would have it now i and would just accept that any new players coming out would have more memory...Last edited by moogle301; 04-04-2007 at 11:18 AM.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsReally 4Gb is plenty for most people. I currently have 600 songs with album art. Most songs have a bitrate higher than 128. I also have 2 full 90 min movies, and 4 half hour tv shows. And I still have room left. How much do you really need to carry around with you every day? If you want to wait for the 8Gb go ahead. But in the meantime you are missing out on using a great sounding player.

but i have GIGs and gigs of music, some of which ppl gave me and i havent listened to yet
so i want it on my player so i can
and i dunno. yah i could survive with less but i would prefer to have most of my fave music on my player at all times
i have over a GIG of short movie clips, i dont even have any full length movies i dont think i want them
waiting some time isnt the problem really
i dunoooo, but my question wasnt really about needing 8GB, it was about being behind

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsI have 4gb of music without including ALL the basics. A player can never have too much memory. Bring on the 12gb! I can take it and more!

The delay of the 8GB is a two-fold problem. 1) Meizu pushed the Dane-Elec version to the back of the line in order to release theirs in China first. Meizu had 8GB chips from Dane-Elec in December to be used for protoyping and samples which were not delivered to Dane-Elec until late March. 2) Dane-Elec places large orders with Meizu which means they carry inventory both in the US and in Europe. Their order cycles are therefore fairly spread out meaining they don't order weekly or even monthly and they consolidate their orders for shipping. So the time from order to shipment is delayed further as all of the orders/products are queued.
So, in defense of Dane-Elec, if Meizu had wanted them to have it at the same time as their own release, it could have happened. Meizu obviously made a business decision to support their own product in their home country first.

Also, I read somewhere that they have suffered some delays in the domestic market because of flash prices raising by around 30%.
Can't wait to play with the Meizu MX!

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsAnyone have any idea on when it will be available over here in the US like at Walgreens? About two days ago they took off the black 8GB M6 from the Walgreens site (but it was not in stock anyways), and now the white one is not on the site either. Is this a sign about what is going on with 8GB Dane- Elec M6 over here in the US?
