You think they'd let it fly?

Hey guys, new member here. Been lurking since late last year. In that short time I've seen quite of few concept pictures for new meizu players. Well, I can't draw and I suck with the gimp so there won't be any graphics of any kind in this thread, but I do have an idea I'd like to share with you guys.
I was thinking of having a clamshell style DAP; just like the motorola razr. Hell, I'm not a razr fanboy, but Its got good dimensions and fits good in my hand so I'll be using it as a base for my idea. All the connections (audio, USB and AC) will go at the base while separate, slightly recessed; volume control buttons (dedicated volume up, down and mute) will go on the outside corner.
Just like the razr, there will be an indent on both sides running the length of where the two halves fold together so you can use your thumb or one of your other fingers to open up the player. The screen will be seated on the top half and the player control buttons on the lower half. The lower half will also be where the reset button is located though I don't know where exactly to put it yet.
On the lower half of the player, I'm thinking of a nearly exact duplicate of the controls from my old rca lyra player. The directional button will have 5 commands (best word I could come up with for what it’ll do); up, down, left, right and select. Another, probably second, button will allow you play, pause, skip a song and go back to a song. There are two other functions that I don’t know what to assign to this button, so I’ll just leave up in the air for now. A third button will just be a simple menu button that when pressed will send you to the main menu.
When closed, you’ll have the usual information on the back and on the front; I’m not quite sure what will go there. I do know that the whole casing, except for the inards, will be made out of some type of alloy with a satin finish; maybe aluminum or stainless steel.
Well, there it is. Tell me what you guys think. Add to it if you want. I’d like to develop this idea even more if there are any of you out there who feel the same way.
