i was just wondering if anyone knows how i can wash/clean the white leather pouch that comes with the m6. i've been using mine and it's now filthy! it is white, after all.

i wasn't sure if it's ok to just dump it in the washer along with the rest of our clothes or if special care has to be taken. any advise would be much appreciated. thanks!

I'll try that ... maybe they know how to ...

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsLOl @ ExilWessi: "WOW, thats a goof question." goof haha.
Anyways, if you want to clean the outside, you could probably just use a cloth
But as for the inside, that would be a mess to clean because the pouch is kind of like... don't know the exact name but it is hard to clean (feathery, soft texture).
Good luck cleaning inside mate LOL.Meizu M8 MiniOne

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsIt's not real leather, just use some Fantistik spray cleaner just a little and wipe off the dirt with a soft cloth. If the inside is equally dirty, put the case inside of a white sock, and tie
a loose knot in the end of the sock, and wash on gentle cycle for about a minute or two.
Then pull it out before the rest of the wash. Then put it back in just befor the end of the
rinse cycle . Take it out and if necessary smooth it out and lay on a towel to dry keep the
end open with something so the inside dries. Just don't wash it, but for a short period. Or do the whole thing by using the
Fantastik spray and wash it by hand in a plastic pan.

As far as my senses tell me its not leather, neiter fake leather.
I volunteer my old pouch to test what a laundrymachine does to it
Shall we say, Short cycle(50 mins) at 40 C with regular detergent?

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsLOL short cycle 50 mins thats pretty long!
Would detergent do anything to it?
Put the pouch in a small bucket with detergent soap and use a miniscrub to lightly scrub the inside and outside.Meizu M8 MiniOne

I believe the case is made from polymer fibres and hence it has a leather texture, call it pleather =P.
Wetting it and shoving some washing agent on it should make it all clean again, but you will ruin the smooth texture and make the inside of the case all fluffy as some member mentioned before.
But the problem is... without water, what are you going to wash? :D
You can try getting a cloth, putting some washing agent on it (like those silky liquid soap packs you use for your clothes, fabric softeners i think they're called) , then dampen the cloth a little and just gently scrub the inside of the case until it looks clean (scrub gently, but if you must use lots of force scrub in one direction only, do not scrub back and forth as you'll make the pouch fluffy). Next grab another cloth to soak up the excess water residing in the pleater. Leave it out in the sun to dry.
The trick is to not put too much water or fabric softener on the cloth you'll be using to scrub the meizu pouch.
Or... you could just buy one of those cool cloth minidisc pouches. Those work wonders, and they're grey which means its hard for them to get (noticeably) dirty. :D :D

Thanked 0 Times in 0 Posts(note: sorry about the pics, forgot to turn the flash on, by then, the dirt was gone! might make it dirty again so i can show you wat this cleaner can do ^_^)
kk, i really got my pouch dirty! I was showing a friend my m6, and the pouch fell on the ground! didnt notice it till after, by then, it picked up a hell of a lot of black dust and dirt
very gritty black dust! So i raided the laundry, and found this sard spray:
Just used a good ol' paper towel, sprayed a little bit on the corner to test it, and success! a hole wasnt burnt through the pouch! =D
[See that bottom part of the pouch! tested the spray on there first]
Basically sprayed it onto the pouch and used the paper towel to scrub away! Dirt came right out, and the pouch looks and feels like it originally was (with the bonus of eucolyptus smell ^_^)
The spray was a basic stain remover! Nothing fancy! Also note the pen mark at the bottom left corner! that couldnt come out, dont even know how that got there!
Hope this helps!Last edited by raffyboi; 04-07-2007 at 03:22 PM.
