M6SL after power on, shows "no music"

It happened after I tried to play 24-bit/96kHz on the player unsuccessfully. Once powering it off and back on again, the screen has the words "no music". After pressing the menu keypad, all folders can be accessed. But all songs in the music folder cannot be seen. When connecting the player to the PC, the player is recognized. But all folders cannot be opened. It says "the file or directory is corrupted and unreadable". The player firmware version is 2.004.6
Please help me to solve this problem. Should I format it and reinstall with 2.004.6 or 2.004.7?

I had this before, but a regular firmware update solved the problem.

Can you get access to the root of your player? The firmware only need to be placed here.

All folders, including system folder, cannot be accessed.

You don't need to copy the firmware files into the system folder but in the "root" directory, where all folders lie.

If you can't copy anything to your player, you'll have to format the player (while powered off, press and hold both PLAY and RW buttons together). When it is completed, you'll have to install the firmware again.

    Thanks, everyone. It works!

By the way, is there a way to get my player M6SL to play 24-bit/96kHz flac files? Should I give up trying?

I don't think so. Does that make sense on a portable player with analogue stereo output ? I doubt you would hear the difference to an ordinary 16-bit 44kHz sample.

I'm not sure at all if it will play 24-bit sample files. I read somewhere that the chipset of M6 do support them but from what I know Meizu never gave up some specs specifically on this.
If I were you I would try give Meizu themselves a call. They might know it.
