it depends on what you mean by "bigger". using geometry, 2.4" screens have the same display AREA. however, the width and height of the screens can differ. so you could have 2.4" wide screen, 2.4" "normal" screen., etc.

i just made my own meizu out of paper, coloured pens, filled with paper and stuck with stickytape ^____^ lolz, cus im putting off reading something and was talking with my bro.
i was wondering, do the player specs of 79mm by 48.2 mm include the clear cover which seems to cover the front and is bigger than the actual player?

Those specs reference the player as a whole, dont know if you meant the thin plastic layer that protects the screen, but that's less than 1mm thin so it does not count.

BTW, u did your own meizu out of paper? I would like to have all that free time :D
Internet has an answer for every question out there, not likely to be always the answer you're looking for.

Just to point out, all screens with 2.4" hasn't the same area.
You would probably understand if you make it 2.39" tall and something like 0.1" width, then it will have a pretty little area.

If you read higher mathematics you will learn that there's a formel for how to make the largest area out of shortest high/width. Pretty annoying problem but good for a farmer who want his sheeps to have a big area to eat grass on, but don't like spending money on fence

Usually the screen size indicates the diagonal length?

Of course. Look at this image on the Meizu website for an example:

umm... area and perimeter are not the same thing. i'm sure wikipedia can enlighten you on that basic concept of geometry.

No they aren't the same, but I didn't say so either.
And the largest area for a 2.4" (diagonal) screen, actually any size, should be i square, or am I wrong?

Was a year or two ago i read my math.. :P

does 'read my math' mean 'took my math exam' where you come from?
