Love the M6, earphones not so great

Just got my M6 yesterday. Have been playing around with it. Overall very happy with built quality and features.

But, I noticed that the music sounds a little muddy using the earphones that came with the unit. There is a subtle but definitely noticeable improvement when I used another pair of earphones.

Has anyone else noticed somthing similar? Or is it just me? Can anyone suggest a pair of inexpensive but great sounding earphones to go with the M6?

No one MP3/MP4 music player comes with AWESOME default earphones. If they did, the music player would cost a fortune.

I personally reckon the Meizu M6 default earphones are actually pretty good, compared to other default earphones, or even some earphones you have to purchase from the stores.

the best earphones that were ever bundled with an mp3 player in my opinion were the Cresyn AXE-599 that came with the G3/i5 generation of iAudio devices.

One good and quite reasonable priced headphones are Koss Plug or Spark Plug. You get a head-banging bass and a very high volume with these. The higher end is not the clearest and you should boost the highs with eq.

For example, when I used these with Creative Zen nano, I had to adjust the bass almost to the bottom in EQ, so that the mid-bass wouldn't come so loud. But when EQ settings are ok, these plugs sounds very fine, you can listen many hours without getting tired to sound...

I myself had to make a new plugs for example from Bilsom ear plugs... The original plugs just expanded too quickly for me to get them in my ears. When you make an new plugs, they will reduce even more of outside noise and you'll get a perfect own peace with your music.

PT800 earphones sound to me pretty good. They have nice "presence" and fullness (with no-EQ and all sound effects off). Reminds me a bit of my shure E4's.
I have tried 2 other sony earphones included with radio etc. and they are far behind the PT800, they sound harsh and distant. I don't know about the new ones included with m6.

But ianlin try to take all EQ and sound effects off. I find them quite enjoyable thought I use my E4's, PT800 seems to have nice sound for included earphones.

If it can be useful, I do confirm : great little and light earphones. The best I've ever tried since now with my Meizu M6. (and better if you don't like "in-ear" buds)

To have a greater sound with them :

1 - use it several days when brand new
    2 - set the equalizer to this : +4 0 -2 -1 0 -1 -7 -1 0 -1
the "-7" on 5khz is probably a bit personal, because I got an over-sensitivity in about that range, so just set this specific range to what seems to match better your own perception.
