MP3, i know is not the one with better quality/size, but it's widely used.

Anyway ill give a try to OGG tomorrow, I'll see if OGG can change my mind

I use mostly MP3, but my favorite is FLAC. OGG is better than MP3 in bitrates lower than 160kbps.

Ill have to go for Mp3 as mp3 will always be played by any mp3 player(I Dont do DRM as its bull)

OGG is a better format but unfortunately not very usefull... for some weird reason even my mimiplayer wont take it!(no need to reply to that i have posted on this before)

lossless FLAC seems to me a little overkill for miniplayer as it needs about 2.5 - 3 times more space than LAME VBR

Yes, flac is a bit too large, although it's nice to have the option for those special songs you want to hear in full glory.
I rip my own cd's to ogg vorbis. I don't think I'm able to hear a significant difference in quality between mp3 and ogg, but I prefer the latter because it is gapless by design, although I'm still waiting for Meizu to incorporate gapless playback on the M6. I'm hoping they will fix this in a future firmware version.

I'm always using mp3 (Lame - Alt Preset Extreme). It's pretty gapless playing with WinAmp, too.

Yeah, I realise the gapless thing is probably outdated, but I like to hang on to my old favourites (and I like to be a little bit different from the masses ).

    mp3

MP3 is my favourite codec. It's small and the quality is acceptable. I've heard that OGG is quite good, at least better than MP3.
    I'll certainly try it.

VBR 256kbps MP3. You don't need more in a MP3 player I use MP3 since it's fully compatible with all electronic devices out there.

I have a mixture of WMA and MP3 stored on my PC, but mostly MP3. I take it the Miniplayer will let me load a mixture onto it ??

(got to wait for Xmas to start playing with it !!)

Yeah, miniplayer lets you store all supported file and reproduce them all together.
