I'm interested if one of the Spain phone Carriers support it.
Would be great implementation of Wifi.
And GPS as an buyer option.

Of course, i am really interested, i'll be more if it comes with WiFi :D. It seems to be a excellent and interesting product if it finally comes with phone functions.

    Congratulations to the development staff.

With phone or without phone . . . that is the question. Including a phone potentially steals Apple's thunder-- IF Meizu avoids traditional carriers and instead utilizes VOIP. People like me who need a traditional phone can get a $50 cheapie with contract and be free of a need for a data plan. Apple is taking the community back to old technology and rapacious business structure by forcing people to sign with Cingular/AT&T at high hardware cost and long contract duration. Carrier proprietary interest is exactly what keeps technological innovation stagnant.

Can Meizu actually outstrip Apple as a catalyst for change? That is an even more interesting question. My money is on the new kid on the block Meizu because of the M6 successes and the ability for Mac or PC to use the device and install 3rd party apps (I'm no tech guru but I NEED a host of items such as legal dictionaries or encyclopedia for my profession and there is no point in having a pda without it).

Also, how will Meizu interface with Macs and PCs? Apple has outsmarted more than a few simply by making the ipod easy to sync!

I'd be sure to buy one, given that it's not like $400 >.>

Anyone know off hand how large the capacity on it will be? (More than 8gbM6?)

I use my phopne as a multi function device already, so I am definately in the market.

I use an SPVC600 and XDA Orbit. Both are windows mobile, both with mp3 and video capability. Having all functions in a single device saves me carrying about lots of items and wearing ut my pockets from the weight!

I should also note that I have had one of the new Nokia N95 mobiles......I cannot recommend this. The battery life is woeful (use any features and you'll get 2-3 hours only!). Also they have disabled a number of features that result in you needing to use 3G/GPRS data transfer at a price thus kicking up the operating cost.

I know Meuzu have indicated that they may intorduce the M8 mini-one over hear without phone capabilities - i'd be interested in that too, but hope they'll keep the phone functionality also.

Yes but my patience is finite

Yes I am very interested in this phone and have been for a very long time, well over a years time. I've been needing to a new phone that I can use as a carry along PC, not only for MP3 or video player reasons. I was gonna buy the iPhone was upon reading about everything it can't do and never will do I decided not to. So right now I pre-ordered a Eten X800 which in my opinion will do everything I want it to. I still have the option to not purchase it and buy the Meizu in the future but right now, I'm 90% convinced this phone is vaporware. So heres the message to Meizu, give me some kind of release date I can look forward to, maybe even a simple fact that this isn't vaporware used to get the Meizu name out. I have dozens of tech geek friends waiting for this phone and because there is no new information about it released or anything that would actually convince me this phone will ever exist, a good portion of them has decided to buy other phones then wait for a phantom Meizu phone thats suppose to be the end all be all of smart phones. My patience has run thin, and if Meizu plans on selling their phones here they need a date, because people get jaded with internet hype and BS, to the point that when it does come out, they've already bought another phone that they are happy with.

if they are clever, they stop developing the M8 without phone now, and start developing phone capabilities - and something that the iPhone does not have, like OTG support or a wrist remote/car remote for FF/RW/Vol/Pause. Just something.
If you want to sell an iPhone clone, you gotta be one of these :
    - cheaper
    - better
    - faster on the market

"faster" is already over. "better" will take them another year of development, "cheaper" will maybe possible. But who know, apple might lower their prices until the M8 is out.

I am not interested in anyway... above US$ 400.- is ridiculous for an MP4... there is no such advanced technology, as it is present in PDAs and cell phones. There is only beautiful GUIs.
I don't want to be disturbed while I'm watching a video or listening an Album by disgusting phone calls... and I don't need to go by the world showing other my "wonder".
I just hope that M7 get into the market at a reasonable prices. That would be my machine.

Beware guys developing expensive devices... is coming a new breed of non-expensive chipsets with formidable software... as it is Actions ATJ2135.

Yes, it's all about the money. To be honest, the main features I am interested in are:
    -Good processor and RAM [Tick!]
-Wifi [Tick!] (it has wifi right?)
-Good web surfing ability [Tick!] (hopefully through opera or some other web browser)
-Ability to load custom apps and develop for the device [Tick!]

So basically I am after something like the n800/n810, but better and cheaper, and it looks like either the m7 (? or is that strictly a music player?) or a world version of the m8 could satisfy my needs, but to be honest, if the phone version is equal to or less than the iphone (including all the costs to get it into Australia and in my hands) in price, then I would probably go for the full m8 (camera+lowest hard drive space).

To be honest, I am surprised that I am excited about this potential vapourware, all signs point to bullshit, but I just want it to be real.

I wish they would post some pictures of the prototypes (supposing that they exist), no matter how shitty they look- something to make us believe that it's real! Look how many people are following this thing, and their doesn't even appear to be anything to follow yet- imagine how many people would want to get one if they could pull it out of the 'bullshit bin' on all the blogs. I suppose it's a good thing though, this way it should be easier for us to get our hands on one when it's released (again, assuming that it ever does get released).

I lost interest as soon as I heard that there is no more possibility of a built in GPS (yeah, I'm gonna carry around a separate fat orb of gps receiver in my pocket everywhere I go... maybe if I was a woman and owned a purse)... and not even sure about the wifi...
