Hello,
I am planning to purchase Meizu DA-M4-04-MZ3 player(4GB). No doubt, the player is excellent one based on reviews at all the websites.
I had one question though:
FM Radio: I will be sending this player to my friend in India. So, I need to know whether its FM Radio will work in India? One of the reviews in Amazon mentioned that it had problems having FM Radio work in India.
Thanks

The radio should be fine, provided they have good reception there. I believe you have bought a M6, not a M4. Check the serial number on the back.
If you are having trouble with your player, please visit this thread first and try the steps before you panic. Most likely you will be able to fix your player easily using the steps listed.
Players: Meizu M6 SP 4GB, iPod Touch 4G
Headphones: SoundMAGIC PL-50s, Auvio In-Ear Armatures, Bose QC-15s.
Current Audio Congifuration: X-Fi Elite Pro w/LM4562 Mod -> Mission MS-50 + Boston Acoustics Subwoofer

I have M6 and M3,I think - you bought M3 with 4G memory, display is small and player is long?
Anyway - FM works fine, depends how far from broadcast station,in India - out of big town it might be a problem;move your friend to Bombay - many FM stations! When I was there - they did not have any FM at all.
AllIndia Radio on short waves and every morning at 8am - 45 min of west music in show called:"In The Grove",it opened always with:"I want to break free" - I will remember it forever!Ask your granddaddy! He will remember.Sashava

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsEncore!after I had posted,I had clicked your link.I bought my Meizu's in China more then year ago.On your link they show clearly M6,but in Q&A someone say, that model do not have FM tuner,it might be US model without FM(M4?).We are on Meizu official website!
Somebody here should know TheTruth!Anybody there???????Sashava
ps.better call BestBuy or look for another source, but buy Meizu MiniPlayer - excellent sound and cute design!really!Your friend will love it!I think, that TouchPad is the best mp3 interface ever.Buy him rubber skin as well, not cristal box!

However they call it, it's a Meizu Miniplayer (M6 SP) labelled as Dane-Elec player.
If the radio is disabled you can use the Meizu firmware (from the Meizu website or in the download section of this forum) and the radio will be there.
If you know the frequencies of the FM-radio stations available
in your (your friend's) area, you can create a FM.INI file to specify the stations incl. their names.
This works better than auto-scan.
