    Meizu Mishaps

I recently had a little mishap with my Meizu which left a dent in it (I had worriedly thought that the screen would be broken too), so I thought I'd share the experience and start a thread for stories of mishaps others have had.

So here's the scoop: Living in Canada during winter gives you a sixth sense for slippery roads, but one day after a freezing rain storm (falls as water then freezes as it hits the ground as while it is on the ground) I was biking to a class (Yes, we can bike year-round with some difficulty) and while going down a bit of a slope that I'd been down a thousand times, the bike tires slipped and I fell at about 35-40km/h. Luckily the ice kept the road from scraping me up and I just slid along with my bike. Unfortunately, my beloved Meizu (which I was listening to at the time) had turned off, refused to turn back on, and had a dent in the backing. I eventually got it to work, took the backing off, and pounded the dent out with a hammer. My Meizu is a little worse for wear, but it works just as well and is without dents!

So does anyone else have a story to tell?

What an amazing story of recovering your Meizu!
I don't have much of a story, but here it goes LOL.
You know the back protection that comes stuck on with the miniplayer, that you're supposed to peel off? It even has a sign stuck onto it that says to peel it from here. Well, I decided to keep it on so i ripped the instruction sign off. It obviously left a sticky residue mark. I attepted to use everything I could find to scrub it off. I finally came to a nano-scrubber, and it took it right off with a bit of water.

    Stupid story huh. LOL

What's a Nano scrubber? Where do you get one and why would one need one?

LOL I don't know what it is really called. It is just a normal-looking sponge scrub with nano-technology... I'm asian and we have all sorts of high-tech stuff :P including a Meizu ^^

are those for sale off ebay?
Internet has an answer for every question out there, not likely to be always the answer you're looking for.

BTW - rubbing alcohol (aka isopropanol) is good for getting 'sticky stuff' off of electronics. It doesn't damage the Meizu unless you use it over extended periods of time.

Same thing happened to me with that pull-off sticker. I just used a razor to get the rest of the stuff off and then used the cloth to get rid of the rest.

The first week I had my player it froze just about everyday and I had to wait for the battery to drain. Luckily now it's been working fine, no freezes since that first week
